July 29, 2006 - When Observer Music Monthly asked Justin Timberlake if he'd ever want to be president of the United States, the former *NSYNC star responded, "I've done way too many drugs already. I've already inhaled and I've already... who knows. I don't know if I want that responsibility." Asked for specifics, Timberlake said, "I fear that if I said that, I'd fuel the fire, so forgive me. I'm just like everyone else, I get completely plastered, I've done my fair share of drugs and I've been caught places with my pants down; it's just I make sure there are no cameras around. If we get into this whole [drugs] conversation we don't have enough time. Some drugs haven't been legalized because it will ruin the other drugs, like nicotine and tobacco. Nicotine is more addictive than heroin. I'll leave the preaching to the preachers - my grandfather's a preacher - but I believe you don't do anything to excess. They always say too much of a good thing could be a bad thing. I try to live my life in a well-rounded manner. We all make mistakes." Read more.

Newton writes, "He proved he's moved on from his poptastic days as singer for American boyband *NSYNC by delivering an evening of sophisticated, funky pop which had the crowd screaming. "J.T. is a hard worker and very dedicated to everything he does, which was inspiring," she said. "I had a blast! I got to know so many great actors and I really enjoyed working with everyone."

July 29, 2006 - Though former *NSYNC stars Justin Timberlake and JC Chasez are both set to release their sophomore solo albums this year, they weren't put off from collaborating because of it. "The records are two different worlds. They really are," Chasez tells AOL Music. "We're not competing in any way, shape or form." He added, "It's hard for people to imagine. But we have two very different stories to tell, and we had a lot going on in our lives the last four or five years that we've been apart. July 29, 2006 - A source close to Kevin Federline tells Star magazine that the rapper is ready to take on his wife Britney Spears' ex-lover Justin Timberlake int he charts. "He's incredibly jealous of Justin's musical style, his sales and his popularity," the insider said. With Britney getting K-Fed a good in the door with Jive Records, the source added that Kevin has "convinced himself that he's going to be the next Justin, only better. Kevin even told a friend that he's going to 'pulverize' Justin on the charts. He says he's got the hottest producers in the business and that he can write killer rhymes and that all Justin has is a silly falsetto and a bad haircut." When The New York Daily News contacted the former *NSYNC star's manager Ken Sunshine, he laughed hysterically at the claim.

July 29, 2006 - Former *NSYNC star Justin Timberlake admits he's outsourced the job of filling his iPod with music to a relative. "I am technologically challenged and too lazy to carry an iPod," he said. "I am too lazy and I don't have a laptop. My cousin has hers and I get her to download music onto an iPod for me. I can't get it in my head that I should make a commitment to carry the iPod around with me; it just seems like a lot of work. It's enough work having to shave, to take along all those other things. I am just too lazy."

Meanwhile, The Sun reports Robbie Williams is also backing off a Timberlake battle. A source said a Beyonce and Justin battle would be "a calamity. Both of these artists will expect to top the charts with their songs. So Beyonce's moved her single forward a week, to avoid clashing with Justin."

July 16, 2006 - Justin Timberlake's manager Johnny Wright tells Us Weekly that reports the former *NSYNC star had split with Cameron Diaz are false. "There is no breakup," Wright said. Diaz attended a June 22nd rehearsal for her boyfriend's upcoming tour and later flew to Barcelona, Spain, where Timberlake is filming his 'SexyBack' video. A source said the couple did "hit a bumpy patch, but reports were exaggerated." Former bandmate Chris Kirkpatrick told the maagazine: "Justin talks about Cameron all the time. He says she thinks for herself and he likes that because he didn't see that quality in girls he dated before."
