August 22, 2006 - Chris Kirkpatrick, JC Chasez, Lance Bass, and Lance's boyfriend Reichen Lehmkuhl were on hand for JC Chasez's 30th Birthday Party on August 6th at On The Rocks at The Roxy in Hollywood, California. August 22, 2006 - Wade Robson was put in charge to choreograph the final four contestants on Fox's 'So You Think You Can Dance?' the other night. The song was 'SexyBack' by former *NSYNC star Justin Timberlake, who Robson reportedly betrayed by having a fling with Justin's then girlfriend Britney Spears. Watch the segment at YouTube.

August 22, 2006 - The New York Post reports that when Clive Davis was dining on meatballs at Justin Timberlake's Destino the other night, the music mogul wondered what to order for dessert, when a waiter brought over a tray with cannolis, cakes and cookies. "Justin Timberlake called in and sent you this platter with his compliments," the waiter said. Davis replied, "That's so nice of him, please thank him... How did he know I was here?" The waiter answered, "Sir, he knows everything."

August 22, 2006 - Former *NSYNC star Justin Timberlake spoke with MTV News' John Norris in an 'All Eyes On Justin Timberlake' feature, where the singer discussed Prince and David Bowie being an influence on his new album, his reflections on the Super Bowl breast flast incident, realizing he's not considered an R&B artist, but a pop artist, and collaborating with T.I., will.i.am, and Timbaland on the disc. August 22, 2006 - Justin Timberlake tells MTV News he breathed a sigh of relief for his friend and former *NSYNC bandmate Lance Bass after he revealed he was gay and in a relationship with 'Amazing Race' star Reichen Lehmkuhl. "I think Lance is one of the greatest people I know, and I'm just happy that he had self-acceptance over this because I'm sure it's hard," Timberlake said. "The guy grew up in the Bible Belt, you know, so just as his friend, you want that for him. You want him to be OK and live his life. I think that a lot of the boy bands, and they date back, you know, a little ways, I think that they all sign up for a certain thing and   this might be me assuming too much   but I think that a lot of them buy into that illusion as well. Especially when you have to live it and it's not who you really are. So I'm happy for him." Read more.

August 22, 2006 -  Fans at Taylor Hicks' forum at the IdolonFox message boards are lashing out at former *NSYNC star Justin Timberlake after his rep tried to claim the singer's diss of the 'American Idol' champ was taken out of context. shell4taylor writes, "JT is a singer/dancer for a Boy Band. He is nowhere near being the talented musician/performer that Taylor is, and he knows it; that's why he has to resort to trash talk. Maybe Cameron Diaz should dump this boy and look at a real man - Taylor!" Hicks_Kicks81 added, "JT has had severe diarrhea of the mouth recently. August 22, 2006 - Justin Timberlake backtracked from criticism of 'American Idol' season five winner Taylor Hicks after telling Fashion Rocks magazine the 29-year-old soul singer "can't carry a tune in a bucket." The former *NSYNC star's rep Ken Sunshine insisted to The Associated Press that the singer's comments "were taken completely out of context." He added, "He has tremendous affection for Taylor Hicks' success. He would never say anything that personal about somebody he's never met. He only wishes him the best." Read more.

August 22, 2006 - The Sun reports that when Justin Timberlake performs a showcase of new album 'FutureSex/LoveSounds' at the House Of Blues in Los Angeles on Saturday (August 19), the former *NSYNC star instructed the venue to bar Lindsay Lohan from the guest list. "Justin's gig will be packed with Hollywood A-listers and a lot of important names in music," a source said. "The last thing his label want is Lindsay getting hammered and making a spectacle of herself, taking attention away from Justin and his new album. He has a lot riding on his big comeback and he doesn't need any distractions. His people reckon any association with socialite liggers like Lindsay are bad for his image and career." Of course the gigantic hole in Victoria Newton's lead story today is that Timberlake performed at the venue last week, and is set to perform Saturday at the New Daisy Theatre in his hometown, Memphis. August 22, 2006 - World Entertainment News Network reports Justin Timberlake has hailed his charity trip to Tanzania with girlfriend Cameron Diaz as one of the most grounding experiences of his life, because no one recognized him. "We arrived in this village and people were celebrating. We weren't sure why they were celebrating," the former *NSYNC star explained. "First we thought they might have recognized us, but we were humbled to find out they hadn't a clue who we were. They were celebrating because they finally had a well with drinking water. See, there are still some places where being famous doesn't mean anything! It really was a humbling experience."

August 7, 2006 - The Sunday Mirror reports Justin Timberlake has requested former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham interview him for GQ magazine. "Justin was adamant Vic was the only person fit for the job," a source said. "Victoria is a big fan of Justin's music and was very flattered that he personally requested her for the job. August 7, 2006 - Jay Leno joked during his Tonight Show monologue on Thursday night, "Former *NSYNC member Lance Bass announced in the new People magazine that he is gay. Isn't that ironic? All this time we thought he was *NSYNC, turns out he's a Backstreet Boy. What are the odds? ... Lance, we love you, but I gotta do the jokes. I'm sorry. No, he said he held back the information all of these years because he didn't want to hurt the careers of the other members of *NSYNC. Well, no problem now. ... I think he came out at the right time. No. He said he was inspired to come out of the closet after seeing George Michael come out of the bushes. So, apparently, that's what happened."

August 7, 2006 - ContactMusic.com reports former *NSYNC star Justin Timberlake was hitting on Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle at a club in London while promoting his new single 'SexyBack'. The move was a surprise to Coyle's actor boyfriend Jesse Metcalfe. "She was out at some club in London and I guess Justin Timberlake was chatting her up, making some moves and trying to pour her drinks. "She told him she had a boyfriend, of course, but hey, you know, I wasn't there so I don't know the real story," Jesse remarked. The 'Desperate Housewives' star added, "At least she's getting hit on by Justin Timberlake! That makes me feel good!"

August 7, 2006 - MTV News has more details on Lance Bass' People magazine cover story, where the former *NSYNC star revealed that he is gay. Joey Fatone was the first bandmate Bass told about being gay, after Fatone walked in on Bass and a male date at his house in Orlando, Florida. Fatone's response at the time? "Dude, I don't care," Bass recalled him saying. Chris Kirkpatrick found out last summer and JC Chasez three months ago. "Very few people have the guts to come up to you and say, 'Hey, are you gay?'" Bass said. "I'm pretty sure they all knew and they probably all talked to each other, but they had the respect to let me tell them. I haven't had the conversation with Justin [Timberlake] yet. August 7, 2006 - Lance Bass' former *NSYNC bandmates Justin Timberlake and JC Chasez have responded to his revelation that he's gay. "Lance is one of my great friends," Timberlake said. "I support him and wish him all the happiness in the world." JC told 'The Insider': "I've known Lance for more than 10 years. We have been through so much together. August 7, 2006 - Jay Leno joked during his Tonight Show monologue on Wednesday night, "Well, in an exclusive with People magazine this week, former *NSYNC member Lance Bass announced he is gay. Of course, I was shocked. You mean the other guys in *NSYNC aren't gay? I thought the whole band was gay. [Laughter] What, just one? Wow. ... I guess when they were singing 'Bye Bye Bye' to all those screaming young girls they weren't kidding. 'Bye Bye Bye'. [Laughter] ... No, he said he first knew he was gay when he realized his name was Lance Bass. That's how he knew it. ... Well, good luck to him. We like Lance."

August 7, 2006 - Jay Leno joked during his Tonight Show monologue on Tuesday night, "According to the New York Post, the other members of *NSYNC said they realized early on that Lance Bass was gay. You know how they knew? Apparently, when they went into his dressing room, he had a a poster of *NSYNC on the wall."

August 7, 2006 - Former *NSYNC star Justin Timberlake is complaining to the Daily Star he's dealing with the downside of dating Cameron Diaz. "I don't get chatted up now I'm with Cameron," he remarked. "I just get grabbed and groped - that's uncomfortable, but arousing."

August 7, 2006 - Justin Timberlake spoke with 'Entertainment Tonight' about his former *NSYNC bandmate Lance Bass' decision to reveal that he's gay. Timberlake said, "I'm proud of him, support him. You know something like that, for someone like Lance, because I've known him since I was 15, for him I think it was more about self acceptance and that is the best part about it.
