December 31, 2000 - Perhaps Entertainment Weekly thinks *NSYNC is the latest fad when they put the band's lip balm at #10 on this week's Hot Sheet saying, "If you pull off the label it says 'The Phantom Menace.'"

December 31, 2000 - The New York Post is reporting that because of relentless MTV promo's, Lance Bass' party at Roseland tonight is likely to be the most packed in town.

December 31, 2000 - Looks like *NSYNC's desire to hook up with Timbaland to help produce their next album as we reported in October may be in jeopardy, as Entertainment Weekly quotes him as saying, "I'm turning people away. I can't be giving out my sound to everybody anymore. I got to look out for me."

December 31, 2000 - Steve Watson, senior buyer for LA Sunset Boulevard Virgin Megastore tells Entertainment Weekly that the Beatles 1 is "blowing away" the latest Backstreet and *NSYNC discs in sales.

December 30, 2000 - CosmoGirl's February 2001 issue names Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake as a Sweet Couple of 2000.

December 30, 2000 - *NSYNC was talked about on TRL Friday since she'll be on the cover of Teen People separately from Britney Spears.

December 30, 2000 - USA Today's Ken Barnes rated *NSYNC's Bye Bye Bye as the #7 Song of 2000, saying "Follow-up It's Gonna Be Me may have had more enduring melodic charm, but it would be inconceivable to triple-Bye-pass the attitude-laden kiss-off smash that set up the biggest first-week album sales in history. Sneer at your peril at this jewel of Swedish production craftsmanship."

December 30, 2000 - The New York Post reported on young people being philanthropists and mentioned Justin's Giving Back Fund and quote Timberlake saying, "I remember my parents always saying, remember your roots. Whatever happens, remember your roots, remember where you came from, and that's what I'm doing now. I want to give back to the communities. I want to install the best possible music and arts programs in schools - in public schools today."

December 30, 2000 - Launch.com reports the members of Shedaisy are unaware of *NSYNC's interest in being part of a duet with the group. Member Kristyn joked, "I think they're just trying to start a cat fight between all the women they're spreading the rumors around about."

December 30, 2000 - E! Online reports more details of the Danielle McGuire drama as her lawyer, John Wallach says "We tried to resolve this quietly, but 'N Sync's lawyer told me they weren't interested." A jury will determine damages in the suit if and when it goes to court.

December 30, 2000 - MTVasia.com is reporting bitter comments from the Backstreet Boys' Kevin Richardson on Lou Pearlman as he complains, "It's not *NSYNC itself but where *NSYNC comes from that digs me, digs me, digs me -- and gets me, still and to this day. Mr Pearlman was always speaking loyalty, and preaching loyalty, saying, 'I love you guys, you're like my sons.' And I'd lost my father to cancer. So I looked at Lou like a father figure. But I was naive, and he's a liar. We'll always remember him for helping us get started. But we'll also remember him for screwing us blind and building another group behind our backs."

December 29, 2000 - Conan O'Brien joked about the fan suing Justin Timberlake saying she's suing for verbal abuse after she had to listen to him sing two consecutive solos in concert.

December 29, 2000 - Thanks Sky. From People magazine, "Britney Spear's romance with *NSYNC's Justin Timberlake is in full bloom. To celebrate her 19th birthday in early December, Timberlake had 26 dozen roses adorn a $2,400-a-night hotel suite at the La Quinta Resort & Club near Palm Springs, with petals from another 10 dozen roses scattered around the room."

December 28, 2000 - Britney Spears was deemed an honorable mention in The second annual Salon.com Readers' Choice Awards in the category, "The celebrity you deem most likely to suffer an Anne Heche-like meltdown." They said of Britney, "In a Krispy Kreme in Biloxi, Miss., when she catches Justin Timberlake in a compromising position with the Olsen twins." 

December 28, 2000 - Thanks Sky. The Johns Hopkins News-Letter's Shannon Shin has an interesting column from back in September with allegations from *NSYNC's roadies who spill the beans on the guys... if they can be believed.

December 27, 2000 - A psychic named Morris Fonte was on TRL today talking about predictions for the new year. He says that Britney and Justin would get married, having a huge wedding and would have at least three children. Fonte also predicted that Justin would leave *NSYNC and be replaced by Ryan Phillipe... What he didn't explain was how a senior citizen was so hip to pop culture.

December 25, 2000 - Rav Singh of News of the World reports Britney Spears bought boyfriend Justin Timberlake a $30,000 diamond encrusted Patek Philippe watch for Christmas. Engraved on the watch, "To my Justin, love you always, Britney." Britney told friends, "I love him so much and I really wanted to buy him something special that would remind him of me every day. So the perfect present had to be a watch because he’d wear it all the time."

December 24, 2000 - Channel 5 news in Memphis is reporting that Britney and Justin were seen at McDonalds and Wal-Mart in Bertlett. The couple reportedly plans to head to Britney's house on Christmas Eve until the 30th, where they then will fly to New York to help MTV ring in 2001.

December 24, 2000 - *NSYNC finished as the #5 most popular search on Lycos.com for the year, with the #1 position going to Britney Spears.

December 23, 2000 - Justenough on our message boards posted the article in January's Cosmo that alledges Britney Spears is using Justin to cover her trail to her true love, Adam.

December 23, 2000 - Seth Green tells Maxim he's not much of an *NSYNC fan, "It's such a freakout when a chick tells you, 'I have your picture on my ceiling, so when I go to sleep I see you and *NSYNC.' And I'm like, 'Really? First of all, never say our names together again, unless you're saying, "Hey, I heard Seth Green got into a fight with ..."'"

December 22, 2000 - *NSYNC will join aging rockers Aerosmith to perform at halftime of the Super Bowl in Tampa Bay, Florida. The Backstreet Boys will sing the national anthem before the game.

December 22, 2000 - People.com's Fifth Annual Most Beautiful People Poll ended with a close race between boyfriend and girlfriend Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears, with Justin nosing Britney out in the end.

December 22, 2000 - E! Online's Ted Casablanca lists Britney & Justin at #6 on his George W. Shrub Awards saying, "It appears nothing can stop this bosomy diva-in-training and her bushy-haired boy-toy. So what if moxie music types say Christina Aguilera has more It than her tube-topped counterpart--who's getting more airplay? Clearly, C.A. has a career beyond satisfying teens who stampede stadiums. Do Brit and Just? Well, they'll always have each other. I hear marriage is in the cuties' cards."

December 22, 2000 - MTVasia.com reports Justin Timberlake treated Britney Spears to an all-over body massage at a health spa for her 19th birthday. Mother Lynn adds, "While in Los Angeles, Brit had a small celebration with some of her friends from the tour."

December 21, 2000 - The Orlando Sentinel reported on the Wright Entertainment Group Christmas party that included Johnny Wright managed stars like Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake, who arrived holding hands to the event. Around 250 guests attended the party Monday night which was held at a Kissimmee skating center. Lance and Joey also attended, with JC coming in later with Bobbee, while Chris was reportedly out of town.

December 20, 2000 - The new Teen People has quotes from Justin and Britney on their relationship. Britney confides, "Justin is everything, and what more could you want in a person? He's funny. He's cute. He's great. He just understands. I get him and he gets me, and that's cool" Justin says of his girl, "If you really love somebody, nothing can get in the way. 'Look, I love you, you love me, that's it.' Problems are going to come and go... She and I compliment each other. She breathes fresh air into me; she's like a reality check. She's absoutely wonderful, an absolutely beautiful person, inside and out. When [negative] things are said about her, I take offense to them even more than she does."

December 19, 2000 - Additional details on the report that Britney was crying at the Jingle Ball in New York. On today's Rush & Malloy show on eYada.com, the pair reported that Britney was upset because she feels she has no control of her life. December 17, 2000 - Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake will be amongst those on MTV's New Year's Eve party at Roseland. The party is being set up by *NSYNC's Lance Bass, with tickets costing $200. Is it possible that a Justin and Britney New Year's midnight kiss will be included in the broadcast?

December 18, 2000 - *NSYNC was named the #5 Entertainer of the Year by Entertainment Weekly, with top honors going to Russell Crowe. Tom Calderone of MTV said of the band, "People are quick to dismiss them as a pop act, but this is a 360-degree band-it's the TV performances, the concerts, the touring. They have a self deprecating style. They don't take themselves that seriously, and that's why fans gravitate to them."

December 17, 2000 - A neon *NSYNC sign is being auctioned on ebay. The 25" wide by 10" tall sign is currently bid at $178.88 and ends December 19th. Check out the sign here.

December 17, 2000 - Justin Timberlake is featured in an autographed picture auction on ebay. The photo, item #526983434, is bid at $14.95 and ends today.

December 16, 2000 - Britney Spears was interviewed by KISS 106.1 and asked about Justin Timberlake and playing strip poker with Ben Affleck. To hear what Brit had to say, click here. You'll also notice on the same page, Ben Affleck was interviewed and he talks about the rumor also.

December 16, 2000 - Justin Timberlake was on Access Hollywood for his appearance at the Z100 Jingle Ball in New York and we have the transcript from the show where Britney talks about Christmas, Justin, and mom.

December 15, 2000 - E! Online's Ted Casablanca reports Justin's mother has confessed to on of his son's friends she hopes Justin and Britney will get married.

December 13, 2000 - Justin Timberlake is in the January 2001 issue of Marie Claire magazine talking about getting gun control laws passed, saying, "When the constitution was drafted, AK-47s didn't exist. Now, at the very least, people should support safety locks for guns."

December 13, 2000 - Worldpop reports *NSYNC is making great strides towards their new album and have already composed over 12 songs.

December 12, 2000 - The Star reports while Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake snuck out a side entrace at LA's Las Palmas, the real reason was not teeny boppers lined outside the joint, but cops checking out the disturbance that may have questioned why the two underaged stars were in a bar in the first place. Luckily Justin spotted the cops while walking out the front and made alternate exit plans.

December 10, 2000 - In a CDNow article, amongst Christina Aguilera's favorite artists for 2000, at #8 is *NSYNC. Her top pick was Mariah Carey.

December 9, 2000 - Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears have made People Magazine's Intriguing Couples 2000 list, you can check out their comments here.

December 9, 2000 - MTV talked to Justin Timberlake Tuesday about what the band plans on doing in the coming months, which Justin replied, "We're going to spend January and February in [the studio] and see what we can come up with." Justin also talked about working with Brian McKnight on their duet My Kinda Girl, "Exactly how you see him on TV -- that's exactly how he is for real. He wants to give to everybody. He's not one of these guys who's so successful that he knows everything. He still wants to learn; he still wants to absorb everything. I think he's going to be around for a very, very long time."

December 8, 2000 - There's an interview supposedly with the guy that tattooed the *NSYNC guys and fixed up Britney's tattoo, though I'm not sure where Frankie Orange interview is originating from.

December 8, 2000 - The New York Post reports Pink's effort to say hi to Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears backstage at the Billboard Awards while neglecting to say hi to host Kathy Griffin prompted her to say, "Oh, don't say hi then, b*tch." Pink fired back "You may have thought you were funny in front of all those people, but if you have something to say to me, say it to my face!"

December 7, 2000 - Interesting commentary on Justin and Britney from GroupieCentral.com's report from the My VH1 Music Awards, where they say, "Let's just end all speculation right here. They are a REAL couple and it's not for publicity. Forget all the virginity bullsh**. There's no way they aren't f***ing each others brains out. We've seen how they are off camera and they are exactly what they are: horny teenagers in lust. That doesn't mean that Britney is Justin's only girlfriend but she's his main girlfriend."

December 7, 2000 - The Lugz boots that Justin Timberlake auctioned off on Planet Hollywood to benefit charity raised $2200.

December 7, 2000 - Added a few more vidcaps of *NSYNC on our huge Billboard Music Award Gallery, including Lance getting kissed and Chris and JC fighting.

December 7, 2000 - Shaun Robinson of Access Hollywood asked Chris and JC to kiss and make up after their staged fight on the Billboard Music Awards, and their response "Oh, now, you're taking the comedy a bit too far. We are friendly, but not that friendly. He ain't pretty."

December 6, 2000 - *NSYNC is doing an advice column on BBC.com's Agony section located here. Most of the questions are coming from girls with guy troubles... what a shock!

December 6, 2000 - *NSYNC won the Billboard Music Award for Albums duo/group of the year and Album of the year at last night's show in Las Vegas. *NSYNC also co-hosted the awards show with Kathy Griffin. Check out the message board for a transcript of their appearances on the show.

December 6, 2000 - The Backstreet Boys overtook *NSYNC on the Lycos 50 for the first time in months, prompting them to comment, "Two weeks after releasing Black and Blue, the Backstreet Boys go ahead of boy band rivals 'N Sync for the first time since February 8. The Backstreet Boys got a bump in searches from fans looking for tickets for their recently announced world tour. Still, it shows 'N Sync's popularity that they are still neck-and-neck with the Backstreet Boys even though their album is eight months old."

December 6, 2000 - USA Today's Jeannie Williams reports Lance Bass had the opportunity to meet as he put it, "My idol!" Micheal Jackson at Denise Rich's Angel Ball last week.

December 6, 2000 - More details on Britney's stage appearance in San Diego to celebrate her 19th birthday, as apparently she appeared in disguise, wearing a wig and glasses during *NSYNC's performance of Just Got Paid. When the crowd asked to help sing happy birthday to her, female fans started booing and hissing drowning out those actually singing Happy Birthday, according to reports from Entertaindom.com, MTVasia, and The Sun, leaving Britney visibly upset.

December 6, 2000 - While many sites yesterday were reporting Christina Aguilera's special beat the ratings of both *NSYNC and Britney Spears last week, they fail to mention Christina's show was on a larger network and was the beneficiary of starting before ABC ratings powerhouse, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.

December 6, 2000 - Entertaindom.com reports Eminem's thoughts on pop music, summed up as "My instinct is to screw Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears and kill every member of 'N Sync and the Backstreet Boys."

December 5, 2000 - A Planet Hope charity spokeswoman is commenting on *NSYNC helping the charity by urging fans to donate presents on their tour, saying "It's a lovely thing for us to do together. And it's good to be able to help kids give to other kids less fortunate than themselves."

December 5, 2000 - Chris Kirkpatrick is commenting on The Backstreet Boy's failure to break their 2.4 million sales mark for No Strings Attached, admitting, "It's a really, really high number, and you don't realize how high the number is until all of the hype builds up and somebody else comes out and tries to break it and they can't do it," he said. "You know, I don't think we'll be able to break it again, but to have it for a little while is great--to give it to the fans and let them enjoy it and say, 'Well, I'm the one that went out and bought a record. December 4, 2000 - Britney Spears was at *NSYNC's show in San Diego to close the 2nd NSA tour. Britney was brought out for everyone to sing Happy Birthday to her for her 19th Birthday. And from the message boards, "She hugged all the guys and Justin gave her a peck on the cheek. Chris wouldn't stop hugging Britney and Justin said if he didn't stop he'd 'bust his butt.'"

December 4, 2000 - The Star reports the reason Britney admitted to dating Justin was because Tonya Mitchell was moving in on her territory and trying to seduce Justin. They report Britney has already had words with Tonya and told her that Justin is taken.

December 3, 2000 - Jo Dee Messina is commenting to Launch.com about rumors she may collaborate with *NSYNC for a song on their next album, saying "There have been rumors around town about ['N Sync] doing a duet or involving a country artist in one of their songs, but as far as I can honestly tell you, I haven't heard anything about it being me yet. If they did choose me, I think it would be cool. I mean, Alabama did it, and it was a great song,"

December 3, 2000 - Heavy.com's Behind the Music That Sucks features an animated look at *NSYNC in the future, and is hilarious.

December 3, 2000 - Chris Kirkpatrick, Justin Timberlake and Joey Fatone attended the My VH1 Music Awards November 30 in Los Angeles. Also while arriving, Justin is shown holding hands with girlfriend Britney Spears.

December 3, 2000 - *NSYNC were on FOX  Thursday night profiling each member of the band as well as an acoustic style intimate concert.

December 2, 2000 - Pearl posted the MSN chat transcript with Lance on the message board. Maybe the last one before they go to the members only model.
