January 21, 2001 - Groupiecentral.com is reporting on the American Music Awards saying that Kid Rock seemed "under the influence of 'something' and who can blame him? He's still grieving over the death of Joe C. But even with shades on, the Kid couldn't hide that he was definitely scoping out the ladies." They added that his relationship with new girlfriend Jennifer "looks like it's going to last about as long as it takes the Kid to smoke a cigar."

January 15, 2001 - In an interview with Metal-Sludge.com, SR-71 singer Mitch Allan responded to word association with Kid Rock by saying, "The white trash Easy E, without the AIDS virus."

January 15, 2001 - Metal-Sludge.com predicted in their 2001 prediction list that on July 12, Tracii Guns will take the place of Joe C. in Kid Rock's band.

January 12, 2001 - MTVasia reports Kid Rock will be paying tribute to Joe C. at each stop on his tour which begins January 17th. Kid Rock explains, "We're going to do a nice tribute to him every night and try not to be selfish about it. The first few shows are going to be tough playing without him § trying to get through some of the slow songs. You know, I sang a song for him at his funeral, Only God Knows Why, and that was pretty tough, and doing that every night is going to pretty much suck."

January 10, 2001 - Kid Rock crashed Nicolas Cage's 37th birthday bash at the Sky Bar in L.A. on Sunday, reports the New York Post. His presence was welcome though after he bought Cage a $600 bottle of 25-year-old Macallan.

January 2, 2001 - The New York Post is reporting that James King may be cooling her relationship with Kid Rock after she was spotted in LA's Las Palmas where a witness said she ended up "dirty dancing with every guy in the place... She looked like she was having a great time, and Kid Rock was nowhere in sight."
