February 26, 2002 - Gary
Graff of Launch.com was at Kid Rock's sold-out show at Wendler Arena in
Saginaw, Michigan and gave great reaction to his hometown opener. Graff
gushed, "Kid Rock delivered a blistering performance featuring more pyrotechnics
than most bands shoot off during the course of an entire tour." As for
what to expect, he said, "With a dancing [Pamela] Anderson cheering him
on from the soundboard--where she attracted considerable audience attention--Rock
not surprisingly concentrated on hits from 1998's 10-times platinum 'Devil
Without A Cause' and offered a liberal sampling of material from the million-selling
'Cocky'." Read more.
February 25, 2002 - The Los

and got the thoughts of Tom Calderone, MTV senior vice president for music.

a new crop of stars like we've been having over the last couple of years.
Whether it was Fred Durst (of Limp Bizkit) or Kid Rock or Britney Spears
or *NSYNC, we had wall-to-wall stars for a while... There are a lot of
great songs out right now, but we went from superstars to a group of potential
superstars." Read more.

Kid Rock said, "He was one of the original outlaws, always will be. The
first time (country music) hit triple-platinum was with the (Outlaws) album
he did with Willie (Nelson) and all them. The first (country) triple-platinum
is hanging on his wall, not a lot of the bulls--t pop that's going on (in
country) today." Country Music Television (CMT) will dedicate the Rock
Hank Williams Jr. episode of Crossroads to Jennings when it debuts on Sunday.

those trying to get rich after one expensive tour. For more on Kid's comments,

February 15, 2002 - IMDB
quotes Sheryl Crow talking about her thoughts of checking herself in for
professional help to deal with depression but she sought other was following
the press blowup that followed Mariah's similar move. Crow said, "There's
no handbook on becoming famous and successful and I'm a person who had
this overwhelming need to be right with the world and make sure everyone
is happy with me. I became totally sick of myself, I got tired of seeing
myself. I got tired of feeling that if I wasn't in a magazine that interest
in me was waning. Fame is a weird trip. It was really a mindblower. It
took a few trips to Mount Sinai for some psychiatric help. I'm not joking.
Had Mariah not had the incident that she had I would have fully checked
myself in but I just didn't want the press. In a funny way, visiting Kid
Rock was an important turnaround for me. I went to Detroit and it was so
much fun. It totally reminded of what it was like growing up - it was all
about Lynyrd Skynyrd and trucks and Budweiser and hanging out with your
friends and it was like, 'I remember now who I am.' Stevie was also instrumental.
She has been an awesome friend and influence on my life. There's nobody
like her. I feel really blessed."
February 9, 2002 - Dan Baesler
of The Hoya reviewed the latest effort from Kid Rock and wasn't too impressed
with 'Cocky'. Baesler says Kid Rock "reverts back to the rap aspect of

nothing new here." Read more.

Anderson spoke with Extra TV about any marriage plans she might have with
Kid Rock on the heels of her marriage to former Motley Crew drummer Tommy
Lee. Pam admits, "I want to have a husband. I want a traditional family
for my boys. I really do. But I’m not going to jump into anything too quickly
