March
27, 2002 - Hip Online spoke with Kevin Baldes, bassist for Lit, on the
band's upcoming gig with Kid Rock. Baldes said, "We've met him, but we've
never hung out with him. We've actually hung out with Pam (Lee) more. Our
soundman actually knows some of the guys in his band. He's the guitar player
for Speedball, which is a great underground band from Detroit. But he's
told us the guys are really cool, but he was like 'don't hold your breath
to hangout with Kid Rock'. Oh well." Read the entire transcript here.
March 26, 2002 - Craig Rosen
of Launch.com spoke with Kid Rock and asked about he and his bandmates
getting tattoos to honor Joe C who passed away in 2000. Rock said, "Yeah,
it was just something to keep on our arms close to our hearts. He'll always
be with us. He's part of this band, and he always will be. So we just wanted
to do something cool. I don't know, maybe it was something to make us feel
better. It just seemed like the right thing to do at the time." Rock also
says he'll never be replaced. Read the entire transcript here.
March 25, 2002 - Looks like

March 23, 2002 - Launch.com
spoke with Kid Rock to get his impressions of up-and-coming acts. Rock
mentioned a few emerging acts saying, "What impresses me is an artist--someone
who establishes a solid career and a solid album and a solid live performance.
I like the whole package. It's easy to make something and shove it down
someone's throat real quick: a single, good video. I think right now music
is starting to change a little bit with the Strokes and White Stripes and
stuff. I think we'll see a change in the next few years. It's not bad now--it
just goes in a cycle and we're in one of those cycles right now." Readmore.
March 23, 2002 - David Lindquist
of the Indianapolis Star spoke with Kid Rock ahead of his concert at Conseco
tonight. Kid Rock said of the three show a week format which is giving
him time to spend with his son in Michigan, "It's the same old story, trying
to stay grounded in this world of madness. It's fun to dive into Hollywood
once in a while and brush elbows and have a good time. But, you know, it's
not reality seven days a week. I think it's important to make it where
you're from, to be a part of where you come from and be proud of it." Read

March 22, 2002 - Kid Rock

to me or say anything about it. She's fine," he said. Rock later did the
station's weather report and joked, "It's going to be sunny but you better
wear a coat. The back-stabbing escalated as they were fighting over their
sons."
March 21, 2002 - Y100's gossip

it.
March 21, 2002 - World Entertainment
News Network reports Kid Rock's latest album 'Cocky' isn't named after
his genitalia. Kid Rock said, "Am I talking about my d**k? No, I talk about
that enough in my songs! I didn't need to name a whole album after my c**k.
You can't just call an album 'Kid Rock Has A Big D**k'. That s**t don't
fly at Walmart."

anyone in Michigan will think it wrong if we got away from the cold weather
occasionally." Read more.

March 9, 2002 - Mark Brown
of the Denver Rocky Mountain News reports Kid Rock's show in the city was
embroiled in a big battle to get the gig. "First he was a House of Blues
show at the Magness Arena, then a Clear Channel show at the University
of Colorado, Boulder. Now the dust has settled and he's a HOB show again,
but moved to the Denver Coliseum on April 13. Tickets for the show go on
sale at 10 a.m. Monday , but the bidding war was such that they hadn't
even settled on prices at press time," Brown wrote.
March 9, 2002 - Aimee Spencer
of Get Real Detroit spoke with Kid Rock about how things are going on his
current tour, what he thought about the Grammys, and how he's keeping ticket
prices so low at $20 for his current tour. Kid Rock explained, "All the
thanks goes to Coors beer. I think it’s very important that we keep ticket
prices at a reasonable rate, after all, when you come to a show and have
to spend $60 on a ticket, how much fun can you actually have? For an average
concertgoer, if the price is $30, you can still buy a few beers, buy a
shirt or CD, and have a great time - actually come away from the concert
with something substantial. When we plan a tour, we find creative ways
to keep the ticket prices at a reasonable rate, like incorporating a sponsor."
