May 21, 2002 - CDNow.com reports on Tommy Lee's new album 'Never a Dull Moment', due Tuesday, the former Motley Crue drummer gives a message of thanks for Kid Rock. Under the section 'A Gigantic Special Thanks and Big-Ups To,' Lee saved the best for last: "Kid Rock for taking '@#$%^*' off my hands."

May 20, 2002 - John Soeder of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reviewed Kid Rock's concert at the Tower City Amphitheater Friday night. Soeder described the rap-rocker saying, "Rock is a natural showman and a talented musician. At one point, he had a go at playing every instrument in his backing group's arsenal. Unfortunately, he relied too heavily on his lowest-common-denominator appeal. Losing the go-go dancers would be a good start if Rock hopes to connect with a wider audience." Read more.

May 16, 2002 - MTV News caught up with Kid Rock ahead of the release of his lastest video for 'You Never Met a Motherfu**er Quite Like Me', which he says will be cheaply produced - typical of anything from Kid Rock. "And that's what I kind of do with my music, too — with everything. That's the way I record, that's the way my stage sets are, that's the way my videos are. I'm a cheap ass!" he said. Read more.

May 15, 2002 - The New York Post reports Kid Rock's fiance Pamela Anderson threw up on the dance floor at Rock's after concert party Friday at Cherry. The lounge's security guards surrounded her, mopped up the vomit, and Pam continued dancing 'til closing.

May 15, 2002 - The New York Daily News reports Kid Rock threw a party at Cherry Friday night after his show at Madison Square Garden. Detroit pal Eminem blew off an invite to party with blonds in a private booth in the W Union Square's Underbar, but Rock's fiance Pamela Anderson did show up. The two apparently were drinking up Jim Beam and Cristal before Rock put Pam on his shoulder and went off to their limo.

May 14, 2002 - Jim Farber of the New York Daily News attended Kid Rock's Madison Square Garden concert on Friday, giving it generally good reviews, though made light of Rock's declining popularity. Farber said, "His nearly two-hour show tried to recreate prime arena-rock of the '70s, with everything kept appropriately overstated, inebriated, and low. Essentially, Rock delivers catchy, working-class party anthems for the Joe Dirt in us all." Read more.

Aquilante added, "While Kid Rock didn't create the crisp sonics in concert that he achieved on his recent recordings, he mostly kept in front of the music and was rarely swallowed by the band." May 12, 2002 - Tommy Lee spoke to Jane Stevenson of the Toronto Sun where he revealed what he'd like to say if he ever runs into Kid Rock, who's now engaged to his ex-wife Pamela Anderson. Lee said, "When I see him, I'm sure I'll run into him at some point. We're in the same business. I was going to give him a big hug and a kiss and actually tell him thanks for taking her off my hands. May 8, 20002 - Hank Williams Jr. and Kid Rock are confirmed to perform together on the upcoming Academy Of Country Music Awards later this month. The two will sing "The 'F' Word," a song they recorded together for Williams's current album, Almeria Club. May 3, 2002 - Robin Leach of the Las Vegas Review Journal reports the 1961 pink Cadillac rented out to Kid Rock as a prop for the proposal to Pamela Anderson blew up on the way back to Las Vegas and the owner is seeking $12,000 in repairs. "Buffalo" Jim Barrier tells Leach, "I'm not going to take legal action yet, but I haven't heard from them now in three weeks, and I am getting antsy." Read more.

May 3, 2002 - Pamela Anderson tells Jane magazine that Kid Rock was "completely devastated" when she told him she has hepatitis C. Pam admits, "I had to lock [Rock] in a rubber room for a week, 'cause he was just furious." She also called ex-husband Tommy Lee's denial that he also suffered from the infection "slanderous."

May 1, 2002 - The New York Post reports Kid Rock recently met up with Sean 'P. Diddy' Combs last Friday at the Shore Club in Miami, to clear up beefs the two had with each other. You gotta wonder where the Post gets the story the two have a beef with each other when they were photograhed arm-in-arm at rehearsals for the 2002 American Music Awards back in January. After their meeting, Kid Rock left for a flight to New York to hit the Kids for Kids AIDS benefit, while Puffy partied with Damon Dash, Jay-Z and Janet Jackson.

May 1, 2002 - IMDB.com reports (likely from a tabloid) that Kid Rock surprised fiancee Pamela Anderson with a sex toy party attended by around 100 of their closest friends. An insider revealed, "Kid arranged for Pam to go shopping with one of her pals from TV show V.I.P. While they were out the guests arrived at her house armed with their naughty gifts." Pamela was reported to say afterwards, "I can't believe this. This is a huge shock - totally unexpected. But it is without doubt the best party ever."
