January 31, 2003 - MTV News profiled the success Kid Rock has been having with the fourth release off his latest album 'Cocky', which has seen a resurgence into the top 10 on the album charts after the runaway hit 'Picture'. Rock says that his label, Atlantic Records, fought with him to release the song over his traditional rap-rock singles, but luckily for both, Rock won out. They also report Rock will be releasing a follow up near the end of the year. Read more.

January 18, 2003 - The Daily Star reports the impending marriage between Kid Rock and Pamela Anderson is in trouble after Pam ordered Rock to stop seeing ex-galpal Sheryl Crow. Even though Rock dumped Crow for her in 2001, Pam's insecurities have reached a fever pitch. A source said, "It's caused so much tension between Pam and Kid that Christmas was hell."

January 17, 2003 - A source tells the New York Daily News that now Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson have settled their child custody battle, the bad blood seems to have cooled off, and Kid Rock is getting jealous. "Tommy and Pam are getting along great," says a source, who claims that "Kid is totally jealous of how friendly they are." And when Rock found out Lee was scheduled to share the bill at VH1's Big in 2002 awards last month, the Detroit rap/rocker "threw a hissy fit," according to a source, who added, "He said he wouldn't be part of the show if Tommy was in the building. The VH1 execs didn't know what to do. They finally explained the situation to Tommy, who was a gentleman and bowed out." Read more.

January 12, 2003 - Us Weekly reports an insider at the fifth birthday for Pamela Anderson's son Dylan says things were rather chilly between her former husband Tommy Lee and current boyfriend Kid Rock. "Kid and Tommy didn't really speak to each other," the insider says. "Pamela had a way of strategically keeping them at opposite ends of the party at all times." Plus, Pam kept telling Rock that "this was Dylan's day, and she wanted it happy and fun."

January 12, 2003 - Launch.com reports Kid Rock and Shelby Lynne made guest appearances at Allison Moorer's January 4th performance in Nashville; the show was being recorded for a future live album. Moorer's duet with Kid Rock, 'Picture,' holds the Number One spot on the Billboard Country Singles Sales chart for the fourth week in a row.

January 7, 2003 - Us Weekly reports Kid Rock recently went shopping with fiance Pamela Anderson at Ralph's supermarket in Malibu, California, where he treated the former V.I.P. star to VIP treatment. "He bags her groceries every time," a clerk said. "He's good at it too. Maybe he was a bag boy before he got famous!"
