June 25, 2004 - The 'Anna Nicole Show' filmed footage of Kid Rock's foul-mouthed argument with Anna Nicole Smith at the Kentucky Derby, and despite legal threats by Rock, E! is apparently going to air the footage. "Kid's people were really upset that it was all caught on film and told Anna Nicole's people that they'd better not use it or Kid would sue their pants off," an insider tells Jeannette Walls of MSNBC.com. "Anna's people said, 'Too bad. It was in a public venue.' But Kid's people were furious and they weren't backing off." Read more.

June 17, 2004 - Kid Rock performed the Nation Anthem before the Detroit Pistons took on the Los Angeles Lakers in game four of the 2004 NBA Finals on Sunday (June 13) at The Palace of Auburn Hills in Auburn Hills, Michigan. June 17, 2004 - Jim Farber of the New York Daily News reviewed Kid Rock's concert at Jones Beach on Friday (June 11), where only a half-full audience watched "Rock chose to regress into the cartoon party animal that launched his career." Farber said, "As a commercial move, this seems savvy. The lank-haired singer's latest CD, 'Kid Rock', has been a sales disappointment.
