January 31, 2001 - Leo was presented the Rudolph Valentino film award in Rome on Saturday where he told the crowd, "Living in Rome for the past five months, I have been struck by the passion of the people, the beauty of the art and culture. ... What impressed me most of all is the overwhelming pride that we Italians take in who we are."

January 26, 2001 - Corey Haim reported on eyada.com's Rush & Molloy show that Gisele has Leo on a very strict diet and has him working with personal trainers. They also focused on gay rumors after the Toby Macguire photo surfaced. Check the first 10 minutes of Thursday's show for more details.

January 26, 2001 - Tobey Maguire is commenting to the Daily News about the doctored photo of him, David Blaine, and Leo that's been floating around. Tobey told Mitchell Fink, "Obviously, it's been doctored. We're having it investigated. I have lawyers looking into it, but so far we've turned up nothing." Tobey added, "Because I've been friends with Leo for years, I've had to listen to all kinds of rumors about us. I try not to let it affect me, but it does."

January 26, 2001 - Peoplenews.com reports Leo DiCaprio's Titanic style haircut is causing problems with military rulers in Afghanistan. Apparently the ‘anti-Islamic haircut’ is becoming popular since Titanic and 28 hairdressers in Kabul have been arrested for cutting hair in this floppy coiffure style.

January 25, 2001 - The Enquirer's Mike Walker reports Leo exploded at a young Italian extra working on Gangs of New York when she asked him for an autograph. Leo screamed to the fan, "Get out of my way! Don't you know you're not allowed to speak to me?" Afterwards, Leo yelled at the guy in charge of extras and they immediately were warned if any of them bothered the stars for autographs, they were fired!

January 25, 2001 - The New York Daily News reports Leo spent a week in California with Martin Scorsese who gave him cooking lessons. They also add his trip to London included swimming laps in the pool of the hotel he and Gisele stayed to shed weight.

January 24, 2001 - Leonardo DiCaprio and Gisele Bundchen were shopping in Malibu, California last Friday as photos on the wires show.

January 19, 2001 - Leonardo DiCaprio is shown here arriving at Los Angeles International Airport on Wednesday, presumably from his earlier trip to London.

January 18, 2001 - Peoplenews.com reports Leo and Gisele spent four days in London's Berkeley Hotel "making whoopee"... slipping into town Saturday and avoiding the paparazzi.

January 15, 2001 - Peoplenews.com reports Gisele's parents joined up with her and Leo at his Malibu beachfront home where the two families shared a New Year's Eve dinner. A witness revealed, "Leo was very gentlemanly. He gave Gisele a gentle kiss and they playfully chased each other, but they weren’t walking around hand-in-hand all the time. He was clearly trying his best to impress her parents."

January 13, 2001 - Megastar is reporting news that Leo and Gisele were spotted frolicking outside Leo's seafront home in Malibu and and are "obviously coasting through the countdown to their summer wedding." Read more.

January 13, 2001 - The Enquirer's Mike Walker reports Leonardo DiCaprio went to a memorabilia store and saw a Titanic poster with his name forged on it. He told the store owner that it was a fake. The store owner asked him how he knew that so Leo took off his hat and said that it's his name and it's not his signature.

January 13, 2001 - Leonardo DiCaprio is featured in a pair of autographed picture auctions on ebay. The first is a Titanic spoof pic (surprising he signed the thing!), item #1403804627, which is unbid at only $9.99 and ends January 15th. The other is from Basketball Diaries, item #539704252, which is unbid at $18.99 and ends January 19th.

January 13, 2001 - The New York Post reports a reportedly doctored photo of Leonardo DiCaprio, David Blaine and Tobey Maguire arrived at their desk via email showing a very exposed, and well endowed Maguire with the trio wearing bathrobes. While some wonder if the pic is real, Maguire's rep told the Post it was fake.

January 9, 2001 - Renewed marriage rumors for Leo and Gisele from peoplenews.com, who reports the two plan on getting hitched this summer. A friend of Leo's admitted, "Leo’s madly in love with Gisele. He has really fallen for her, and wants to show it by making the ultimate commitment. Leo wants a summer wedding." Read more.
