May 27, 2002 - A Cosmopolitan magazine blind item reads: "My buddy is this great actor who could have any woman he wants. The one he has is a gorgeous model, but she's a bit of a nutcase. He hates to be late, but she couldn't care less about time. When she came two-and-a-half hours late to my birthday party, he'd had enough. While he was reaming her out in front of everyone, she casually tossed a drink all over the front of his pants and walked out. We consoled him for the rest of the night and really thought their relationship was over for good this time. But just a week later, they were totally back together, screaming and yelling in public. Truth is, I think he likes her wacky behavior."

May 25, 2002 - The Enquirer reports Leonardo Dicaprio had a bet with his 'Spiderman' pal Tobey Maguire that his movie wouldn't beat the 'Titanic' first weekend take of $28 million. It blew 'Titanic' away so Leo had to pay up $5000. 

May 24, 2002 - Leo DiCaprio is featured in a video clip on Access Hollywood's website. Leo said of the GONY event at Cannes, "My palms were sweaty at first, but I swear at the end of the 20 minutes I was getting chills. I literally got a chill down my spine by the end of it and I felt the energy in the audience." Watch more here.

May 24, 2002 - Foxnews.com's Roger Friedman reports the other night both Leo DiCaprio and Cameron Diaz helped agent Rick Yorn celebrate his birthday. Yorn has recently split from Mike Ovitz and taken his clients to a company called The Firm.

May 24, 2002 - E! Online's Ted Casablanca talked a bit about how Leo DiCaprio wasn't so much liked during the filming of Gangs Of New York, especially compared to co-star Cameron Diaz. Read more.

May 22, 2002 - Roger Friedman of Foxnews.com has on hand at Cannes to witness the 20 minute preview of Gangs of New York - and had good things to say about Leo. Friedman said, "The little we saw of him in the Gangs clip suggested that he has matured and found his niche as an adult actor. He has the looks and makings of a mega star a la Mel Gibson and John Travolta. His future seems assured, no matter what the tabloids say." Read more.

May 22, 2002 - AP has news on Gangs of New York at Cannes. "I'd oftentimes hear him sharpening his knives in his trailer," Leo DiCaprio said laughingly, trying to give a sense of how Daniel Day-Lewis threw himself into his character in the film Gangs of New York. May 22, 2002 - The Mirror has the more juicy reports from Monday's Gangs of New York press conference in Cannes. When Harvey Weinstein was pressed for details on his fight with Martin Scorsese he snapped, "I'm no angel. But this film is a labour of love. The story about any arguing is totally fu**ing rubbish." May 22, 2002 - CNN quotes Leo talking about the period that Gangs of New York takes place saying, "It's a really unique time in our history, and it was so affected by the Civil War and the hoards of immigrants coming in from the potato famine, and it was the birth of our country basically." May 22, 2002 - Esquire magazine has a great feature with Gangs of New York mastermind Martin Scorsese and Miramax chief Harvey Weinstein in their first joint interview on the project. May 21, 2002 - "Gangs of NewYork" finally hit the big screen on Monday -- but it was only for a 20-minute teaser at Cannes. On hand were stars Leonard DiCaprio and Cameron Diaz, and at the end, DiCaprio leapt to his feet to lead a standing ovation for Martin Scorsese. Read more.

The source added, "No way she is with that cad [Steve Bing]."

May 18, 2002 - Leonardo DiCaprio looked at ease with his supermodel girlfriend Gisele Bundchen on a public outing this week, despite her socializing with Steve Bing. Leo laughed and kissed Gisele as they took in a basketball game in Los Angeles.

May 16, 2002 - E! Online's Ted Casablanca reports Leo DiCaprio was spotted recently with three guy pals at Doughboys, where he was clothed in camo pants, sunglasses and his usual Lakers baseball hat while stuffing in a plate of blueberry pancakes.

The top 10 was for the best advise you've given your kid, and Irmeline, one of 9 celebrity mothers in the studio (Dave's mom was at home in Indiana), said "You want to impress your mom? May 7, 2002 - MSNBC's Jeannette Walls reports while  Gisele Bundchen's manager insists that she's still dating Leonardo DiCaprio, many questioned that after she was spotted having a quiet dinner with former flame, billionaire Joao Paulo Diniz.

May 4, 2002 - US Weekly reports Leo DiCaprio and pals were at Los Angeles eatery Swingers when they were told they'd have to wait for a table. An insider said, "That really got [Leo] upset, and he caused a humongous ruckus, shouting and screaming. It was a real big scene, then he and his group just bolted."

May 3, 2002 - The New York Post reports Leo DiCaprio and pals Tobey Maguire and Lukas Haas were spotted sharing a table with Heather Graham at Lotus' hot Tuesday night party. 

May 3, 2002 - "He and Gisele have finally, absolutely, broken up," Leo DiCaprio campers informed E! Online's Ted Casablanca.
