24, 2002 - E! Online's Ted Casablanca has news on Leo DiCaprio in Las Vegas
for the Bruce Springsteen show, complete with news on the "huge-ass entourage
of models" that he was with.
August 22, 2002 - The Las
Vegas Review Journal reports Leonardo DiCaprio was feeling his oats Sunday
at the Bruce Springsteen after-concert party at A.J.'s restaurant in the
Hard Rock Hotel when he let it be known he wanted hip hop music piped in,
or else he was going to party elsewhere. Didn't work though -- it is the
Hard Rock Hotel, not the Hard Hip Hop Hotel. Leo stuck around anyways.
Leo also sharing a table and a bottle of Belvedere, a premium vodka, $310,
at Light, the Bellagio nightclub with Michael Jordan, Mark Wahlberg and
pal Tobey Maguire. Finally, Leo took multiple rides Sunday on the Big Shot
at the Stratosphere, with two friends and a bodyguard.

reports Leonardo DiCaprio was spotted using a golf cart on Hollywood's
Sunset Strip.
August 19, 2002 - The Sunday
People reports an ex-schoolmate of Leonardo DiCaprio has revealed how the
star played the fame game early on. "Leo always mixed with pupils who had
showbiz links. He thought they would be helpful to him," he said.
August 19, 2002 - The Las
Vegas Review Journal reports celebs at the Hard Rock for Bruce Springsteen's
concert on Sunday night including Leonardo DiCaprio, Vin Diesel, Steve
Van Zandt, and a member of Springsteen's E Street Band were spotted dining
at Nobu (Hard Rock Hotel) on Friday night.
August 17, 2002 - Leo is
on the cover of the new Entertainment Weekly along with Cameron Diaz, and
Daniel Day-Lewis for their fall movie preview, on Gangs of New York. Check

York Post reports Oliver Stone is also gearing up with his own Alexander
movie, this one starring Colin Farrell.
August 16, 2002 - Variety
reports Director Baz Luhrmann is drafting his "Romeo & Juliet" star
Leonardo DiCaprio into his Alexander the Great epic.
August 16, 2002 - The New
York Post reports Ben Affleck, Leonardo DiCaprio, Benicio Del Toro, Lara
Flynn Boyle, Rose McGowan and Tobey Maguire have all booked rooms at the
Hard Rock Hotel for an "intimate" performance by Bruce Springsteen Sunday.
August 15, 2002 - Leonardo
DiCaprio joined several other celebrities calling for President Bush to
attend the "World Environment Summit." A video clip of Leo commenting
at feedroom.com has since been removed.
August 15, 2002 - Conan O'Brien
joked during his Late Night monologue on Wednesday, "This is weird. Yesterday
at a press conference, actor Leonardo Dicaprio lashed out at President
Bush for his environmental policy. Yeah, after hearing about -- after hearing
about it, the President said, "I thought he died on the 'Titanic.'"

Despite the fact that we're the biggest economy, we're the largest polluter.
President Bush, please go prepared to join the vast majority of nations
in constructing a concrete plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions."

York Post reports pals are saying Britney Spears is still obsessed with
her former *NSYNC boyfriend Justin Timberlake and she hit on Leonardo DiCaprio
at the Playboy party to make 'Stinky' jealous. "She is desperate to hook
up with someone who will make Justin jealous," said another spy. "She is
21 going on 9 years old [Note: She's actually 20 until December 2nd], and
just can't get over the fact that he has moved on."
August 4, 2002 - Pop Idol
loser Darius Danesh says he isn't a great fan of Leo, who was at a London
club recently. Darius says, "He was a bit stand-offish. But I bought him
a drink and he lightened up."
