21, 2002 - Busta Rhymes is going off on conservative Fox News host Billy
O'Reilly to AllHipHop.com. Asked about the situation with Pepsi, he blasted,
"They ain't give me no grief about what I wanted to talk about, how I wanted
to say it, how I rep myself, none of that. I don’t know how I feel about
the situation now with the way they did Ludacris. I think that sh** was
disrespectful in every aspect but, fu** Bill O'Reilly, that faggot. He’s
the type of muthafu**er that really needs to be focusing on his problems

October 27, 2002 - Jon Caramanica
of the Boston Phoenix weighed in on Ludacris and Angie Martinez, two radio
DJ's who have gone on to be rap artists. "Ludacris has become a potent,
respected MC for the same reasons that he was so loved on air. He’s incredibly
lucid," Caramanica said. "He’s randy, which is de rigueur for someone who
has to field all manner of calls from the public. Behind a mike, either
in the studio or on stage, Ludacris commands a crowd better than just about
any other contemporary performer. His only misstep thus far has been taking
himself too seriously as a rapper and pursuing one of hip-hop’s great indulgences
— aiming to make stars out of his crew, the Disturbing tha Peace posse,
on their mediocre debut, Golden Grain (Universal)." Read more.
