October 31, 2003 - Ken Capobianco
of the Boston Globe was at Tuesday's WJMN-FM Monster Jam at the FleetCenter,
claiming "outside of a delirious set from Ludacris and the solid presence
of 50 Cent, the nearly five-hour show was mostly a ho-hum affair." He added,
"The night was rescued by Ludacris, who remains one of rap's most vibrant
live performers. The Atlanta MC took the show to another level three-quarters
of the way in, when he and his crew delivered their Southern fried funk
in its greasy extreme. Ludacris, with diamond earrings the size of hubcaps,
brought his good-natured, notoriously obscene songs to life with a manic
glee." Read more.

24, 2003 - In an interview with Radio 1, Ludacris revealed his future collaborations
include one with Redman, Method Man and Outkast, as well as Kylie Minogue.
The rapper says he brings something totally different to their tracks.
"I just try to spread myself out there with people that I'm also a fan
of, and let people know that I can come to their level, whatever subject
they're talking about, and just show my versatility as an MC," Luda explained.
"I try to listen to the track for something that I know no-one else is
gonna hear, when it comes to being different on a song, and try and flip
it in a whole new direction. Be me, that's what I try to do."

October 22, 2003 - Hip Online
caught up with Ludacris where he talked up his demand in Hollywood. "I
can talk all day about movies I’m considering," Luda boasted. "I would
rather talk about movies that are in stone because it’s a different game
when it comes to the Hollywood game. But I can definitely tell you, you
can expect see me in some more movies. I just, I’m sorry I can’t tell everyone
right now exactly which ones they are. There’s a animated one coming out
wit my voice on it as well as some other voices, Lil’ Kim, Bernie Mac,
Mistikal. Its called 'Lil’ Pimp'. Its almost like South Park to the tenth
power, a lot of cursing, It’s gonna be humorous though, it’s crazy. It’s
coming out probably around the end of this year. And I sold a script to
MTV Paramount called 'Skip Day' a while ago. We’re just now getting first
drafts back from that. So, You can expect that. That’s also in stone. 'Skip
Day'. Its kinda like a mix between 'Ferris Bueler’s Day Off' and 'House
Party', southern style." Check out the entire interview here.
October 18, 2003 - Ludacris
was on the Howard Stern Show on Thursday (October 16) to promote his new
album 'Chicken & Beer'. Howard asked Ludacris if he's in any feuds
at this time. He said he's kind of in a feud with Bill O'Reilly over a
boycott O'Reilly had to get Ludacris out of the Pepsi ads he was in. Pepsi
apparently felt the pressure and backed out of the ads because O'Reilly
wanted to have a boycott against the product. Ludacris said he feels like
Bill is a racist and a hypocrite. Check out a report on the entire interview
from MarksFriggin.com.
October 14, 2003 - Some musicians
write material in the studio, some with their band, but Ludacris has a
different creative process. "The writing process is usually done in a car,"
Ludacris tells Entertainment Tonight. "I feel my most creative being
in a vehicle, whether it's moving or not. It's real dangerous when I'm
writing music and driving at the same time, but that's how a lot of hits
came about. You know, I'm in my own car with my own music, I just write
on little scraps of paper while I'm driving. And it's ridiculous, it's
just crazy." Read more.
October 13, 2003 - WENN reports
that while Ludacris owns a variety of cars, his green Cadillac DeVille
is his favorite because it boasts TVs in the steering wheel, behind the
head-rests, in the sun visor and even in the trunk. "I drive with my knees
and watch a movie on the steering wheel," he said. "It's the only way to
spend time in traffic. The TV in the trunk is for if you stop for a picnic."
October 13, 2003 - Juggling
the executive and artist jobs is well worth the trouble for Ludacris. "Nobody
said anything in life was going to be easy," says Ludacris, who is planning
a Disturbing tha Peace tour later this year. "You must struggle to gain
success, and I think I learn better by doing so much." Check out his entire
interview with Steve Jones of USA Today here.
October 13, 2003 - Despite
all the collaborations he's had, Ludacris wishes he could have hooked up
with the late Tupac Shakur. "If I could record with anyone dead or alive
it would definitely be Tupac Shakur," Ludacris said. "Why? Because I always
talk about how music is all about emotions and I feel like he got to anybody
emotionally more than any other artist in this music industry. And just
to do a song would mean so much. Just because I understand how hard of
a worker he was and he motivates me even though he's still deceased." Check

October 12, 2003 - MuchMusic
reports Napster celebrated their relaunch in New York City on Thursday
with an appearance by Ludacris, who said that he thinks download sites
offer fresh opportunities for young musicians. "It does not mean the death
of the album," says Ludacris. "I think it encourages people to buy the
whole album It means more money in our pockets. We are finally being compensated
for our creative and hard work."

October 7, 2003 - Jim Farber
of the New York Daily News reviewed Ludacris' just-released album 'Chicken-N-Beer'.
He writes, "As its title suggests, 'Chicken-N-Beer' doesn't exactly move
Ludacris into the world of truffles and foie gras. It centers on the kind
of sex talk that could make the members of 2 Live Crew seem like Prince
Charmings. Basically, it's a booty call set to a beat, with references
to Viagra, orgies and more ho's than you'd find in the world's largest
toolshed." Read more.
October 5, 2003 - MTV.com
