may have cringed last week following reports that the National Alliance,

lobbying to ban the city's Disturbing Tha Peace tour date. Luda, however,
says he's getting too much love in other area codes to devote energy to
the ignorant. "Yeah, I heard about it. Ain't nothing new," Ludacris told
MTV News. "[Stuff] like this has happened on tour before. All we do is
make sure we're prepared for anything that's going to happen, do our show
and get the hell on. Ain't nothing new to us. We've had opposition in a
lot of places over the past four years, so this ain't no surprise." Read

of the Boston Globe spoke with Ludacris about the wealth he's created since
moving from struggling DJ to one of hip hop's leading rappers. "I can't

of pride. "You want to be respected artistically, but you also want to
be heard, and I want to sell as many records as I can before I'm through.
Always taking it higher, never resting on what you've done and always looking
at how to make the next song hotter than the next. Ask any MC, that's how
you sell records." Read more.

at the Congress Theater on Saturday (February 28). Lurie writes, "Ludacris
might have been the biggest act of the evening, but he was anything but
complacent in his headliner slot. He spent the first half of his set alone
onstage, relying on only himself and an uncomfortably blinding light show
to rally the audience, and then decided to eschew the commonplace vocal
backing track that often picks up most mainstream rappers' slack." But
he added, "It was David Banner, though, who was by far the most remarkable
performer of the evening." Read more.
