happened on Sunday night, Ludacris told The Chicago Sun-Times reports he
was "really keeping all my fingers -- and my toes -- crossed," hoping 'Crash',
in which he co-stars, takes home the best picture Oscar on Sunday night.
"This film is so important to me... so important to everyone... one of
the best things I've ever done... I am so proud of that work and am so
proud of everyone connected to it."
March 15, 2006 - The New
York Post reports organizers at the Charlize Theron-hosted party for her
Africa Outreach charity were panicking after learning Ludacris had arrived
for the event. "Oprah was supposed to come, and there is some sort of a
rift between her and Ludacris," a source explained. "Her people let it
be known she would not enter the room if he was there. Luckily, Winfrey
didn't show, avoiding a nasty scene."
March 15, 2006 - Ludacris
spoke with The New York Daily News about his role in an upcoming episode
of 'Law & Order: Special Victims Unit'. It's the rapper's first TV
role and one he actively sought out. "I told my agent that I was a fan
[of 'SVU'] and to try to get me a part," he said during a break in filming.
It's the latest step in his pursuit of an acting career. "I'm trying to
make a slow but sure transition. It's a very interesting role," he said.
"It's very emotional. It's going to throw people off. You start off thinking
[the character] is one way, but he's totally different." Read more.
