October 20, 2001 - I put together a list of the top female pop stars to try and get a grasp on what people are really looking for during their searches using Overture.com. The best ratio perhaps for a female musician is the nude searches versus lyrics. By far, Britney Spears' ratio of only about 12 searches for lyrics for 100 searches for nude demonstrate the true interest behind the singer. On the opposite end are the likes of Whitney Houston, Dido, and Michelle Branch, where nude searches didn't even make 10% of searches for lyrics. October 18, 2001 - Mandy Moore responded to concern on her official site message board about a outfit she wore at a recent appearance that showed her bra saying, "Oh my goodness... calm down everyone lol! I wore a shirt that was sheer, so I wore a black bra underneath.... That is tasteful. inapproriate would have been not wearing anything underneath. I have been myself and not copying anyone, changing my "image, "growing up" all along. It was t-shirt!!! Come on you guys... analyzing everything... good grief! lol"

October 18, 2001 - Mandy Moore addressed commercialism by pop acts on her official site message board and how it seems acts care more about money than music saying, "That's what TV commercials and radio spots are all about: getting you to BUY their product. so why not advertise with something already proven successful? I am sure there are many artists out there (pop, alternative, rap, R&B, etc.) who don't really like all of the music they are sending out to people, and do I feel like I am selling out by doing Neutrogena commercials and MTV. Nope. I REALLY enjoy doing those things... and in a day and age when you must also sell yourself in other markets that are not directly music related and not soley relying on radio airplay."

October 17, 2001 - Mandy Moore revealed on her official site message board today that she's got a new hair color. Mandy says, "Well sorry to disappoint all of you but i am a brunette right now. I love it (it's different from 'Walk to Remember' [film that Mandy just finished shooting] not supposed to be "cutting edge/fashionable). I feel like a new girl, but i will back to my other self soon, but not too soon."

October 17, 2001 - Mandy Moore admitted to fans on her official site message board that her teeth aren't perfect. Mandy says, "Yes! My bottom teeth are a bit crooked... but you know what? I love my teeth. I don't care, and I do think crooked teeth give someone character. But who knows one day when I am an adult, I will fix them. But I am in now rush right now."

October 17, 2001 - Mandy Moore gave message board visitors a tip that the trailer for her upcoming film 'A Walk to Remember' will debut for the first time, this weekend before the showing of 'Riding in Cars With Boys.' Mandy says, "The movie looks like it's gonna rock, so go support it anyways." Assume she was talking about the 'Riding...' film and not her own.

October 10, 2001 - Mandy Moore assurred posters on her official site's message board not to feel like losers for posting messages on the internet. Mandy said of her friends that posted on the board the other day using her name, "They don't think you guys are losers. You aren't. period. Hey---if posting on a message board makes you a loser... then call me one. They were amused at the undergroud world of our lil' message board."

October 6, 2001 - Mandy Moore is a huge fan of Linkin Park as she revealed on her official site's message board, "I am a huge fan of theirs. I think their record is amazing."

October 6, 2001 - Mandy Moore addressed concerns that '17 is about sex on her official site's message board and also continued her 'brown dog' inside joke saying, " To me, '17' is NOT about sex. It's about growing up and realizing it is time to make decisions responsibly. Hey, take from it what you will, and it's brown dog's favorite song so calm down."

October 6, 2001 - Mandy Moore responded to rumors apparently started in Movieline magazine that she and Wilmer Valderrama broke up saying on her official site's message board, "I am sorry to deny the rumor, but Wilmer and i still very much together. I am a happy girl!!"

October 5, 2001 - E! Online's Ted Casablanca reports Wilmer Valderamma was spotted at Deep on Hollywood and Vine without girlfriend Mandy Moore, who Ted says he didn't seem to miss on the dance floor.
