April 27, 2002 - Mandy Moore apologized to fans on her official website's message board on Friday for not replying to posts for several days. Mandy said, "I have been home with my new computer that for some unknown reason, decides to prevent me from posting. I have been online reading your messages for the past few weeks, but haven't been able to respond." Mandy responded to a few recent posts including her upcoming film project 'How To Deal'. April 27, 2002 - Mandy Moore told fans on her official site's message board on Friday that she's "deeply saddened" following the tragic death of TLC's Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes in Honduras on Thursday night. Mandy said, "I am deeply saddened to have heard the news this morning. Like everyone has said, I kinda grew up [to] their music. It is terribly tragic. My prayers are with her family and friends."

April 27, 2002 - Chaunce Hayden spoke to Kelly Osbourne about her friend Mandy Moore, who she insists isn't "too perfect and L.A." saying, "She's got flaws. April 25, 2002 - The current issue of National Enquirer sports a hot and heavy photo of Wilmer Valderrama nuzzling with his co-star in 'That '70's Show' Mila Kunis. The two were both celebrating at a party in Los Angeles for the 100th episode of the Fox comedy. Mila's on the Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn on Thursday, so perhaps she'll be quizzed on the shot and whether she stole Mandy Moore's boyfriend.

April 15, 2002 - Mandy Moore explained why a promotional photo of her co-star Shane West in 'A Walk to Remember' never made the final cut in the actual film. Mandy said, "The baseball scene was kinda, um... dumb. Sorry Matthew [who?]! It wasn't the writing, I swear! But it might be on the DVD, along with other shots. And the commentary... ohhhhh, watch out. We all got so sidetracked about other things that we ended up talking over the whole film. Hehe.... can't wait to laugh at it myself. I think I said 'oh I love this song' in just about every scene." 

April 14, 2002 - After Mandy Moore was on ABC last night, 20/20 ran an episode that featured artist Josh Groban. A fan asked what she thought of the singer, prompting Mandy to tell fans on her official website on Saturday, "Ok this could be the wierdest thing ever. My mom and I were watching 20/20 last night as well. His voice gave me the chills... Wow! I am on my way to Virgin Megastore as we speak to pick up his record." Mandy added, "PS: I think I may have a bit of a crush lol."

April 14, 2002 - Mandy Moore was asked about comments Pink had made earlier saying that Mandy was afraid of her. Mandy responded on her official site's message board on Saturday, "No, not at all! Infact, after watching Pink's diary on MTV, I turned to my friend Heather and said, "I wanna be friends with that girl." She has always been very sweet when I have seen her."

April 14, 2002 - Mandy Moore gave her thoughts on the new photo of her on the set of 'Try Seventeen' that features a somewhat messy and short blonde Moore. After seeing the photo, Mandy said, "I look like I just woke up in the pic!? Where did they even get that shot? I think the photos I am holding are some that Franka took on set. LOL... April 13, 2002 - Mandy Moore told fans on her official website on Friday that she's heading back home to Florida after completing filming on 'Try Seventeen' with Elijah Wood in Vancouver. Moore told fans, "Elijah, Franka, and I all watched the first 25 minutes of the film the other day (first edit of course lol). Pretty rocking!" Read more.

April 12, 2002 - Mandy Moore reponded to rumors that during the first day shooting 'Try Seventeen' with Elijah Wood that she was so nervous, she puked on him in shock. Reports had her running into the bathroom for hours before apologizing to Wood. Mandy said of the report, "Ok now, I do embarrass myself quite a bit, but... come on! LOL. Elijah and I knew each other before we started filming, so I wasn't nervous at all. Plus, our first day of shooting didn't even involve me really. But, if that had happened.... wow. How geeky? Haha, too funny."

April 13, 2002 - Mandy Moore posted on her official site's message board on Friday night that there will be no more singles released off her latest self titled album. As for new music, Mandy said, "Unfortunately, at this moment I am experiencing some hangups that will prevent me from going into the studio for a bit. I can't discuss them, but nevertheless, this too shall pass. But don't worry, it doesn't mean that I am not excited nor looking/writing music as we speak. New music will be out the beginning of next year, with my full attention devoted to it and only it. I should be demo-ing some stuff soon too." Read more.

April 13, 2002 - Today, on her message board, Mandy Moore responded to a fan's questiioning of her feelings on her photos on a pro-anorexia website. She wrote, "I am honestly horrified to hear of this. I have read about the exsistence of sites of that nature, but really don't feel like looking. Anorexia is a disease and should be treated as such. April 12, 2002 - Mandy Moore told fans on her official site's message board that on her return to the 'Try Seventeen' set on Thursday, the newly 18 year old was treated to a special birthday cake. Mandy said, "Today, the on-set caterers (I was at work today) made me the best cake I have ever eaten in my life. It was a combo of a regular vanilla cake and a strawberry short cake. Delicous!"

April 10, 2002 - Mandy Moore was asked by fans if she believed in fate on her official site's message board. Mandy answered this morning, "Hmm, do I believe in fate? Well, this is probably not going be to some thought-provoking question at this point for me (I am quite sleepy..) so maybe I will answer this tomorrow with a clearer mind. But, as it stands now... LOL, I believe in fate, yes. Mostly, I believe that there is an intended path for each of us and that we follow it during our lifetimes. The paths we take can be altered by our different choices, etc., but are ultimately controlled by a higher power (in my belief--- God). April 5, 2002 - When Mandy Moore was told of the New York Daily News story that she was dancing at Joseph's with Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera on her official site's message board, she replied, "I went back to LA to celebrate Easter with my family and was there Monday night with a friend. Hehe... I don't know if the others were there, but you guys know I don't dance." Mandy added, "PS: I have no bodyguard. lol."

April 5, 2002 - Mandy Moore and Bullet Boys guitarist Jason Hook took time to do 20 questions with Metal-Sludge.com. When asked what's the longest amount of time he's spent alone with the much younger Mandy, Hook revealed, "Maybe a half hour. Usually before a show, we will go somewhere quiet and run through some songs and vocal exercises for her to warm up. One time at Nassau Coliseum it was so loud backstage, we went into a shower so we could hear ourselves. We both thought it was pretty funny." Read more.

April 4, 2002 - The New York Daily News reports the Los Angeles club Joseph's became the meeting spot for the top three pop tarts as Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and Mandy Moore hit the dance floor together. The trio seemed to get along well though other guests at the club may not have been happy to get the boot from their respective bodyguards.
