May 27, 2002 - Mandy Moore checked in with fans on her official site Sunday from her vacation spot in Hawaii. Mandy was asked about whether she gets tan lines and replied, "I came here with the sole purpose of getting a tan lol (I am pale and used to be tan when I was young and at the beach every few months). Well, I needed a tan and some R&R/bonding time with [her brother] Scottie. Although I ALWAYS burn first, we are both up to baking all day (even at the crack of dawn.... j/k). My Neutrogena SPF 45 [Mandy plugs the product she endorses] has helped, but do they make aloe? Oh well, we are off to Cali tomorrow (I can't wait to get to work, and hair cutting. 'How to Deal' [her latest movie to shoot] requires a shorter / punkier / darker do -- YEAH!!). You'll see at the MTV Movie Awards. Oh, so much to get done. Until then, take care and bless."

May 26, 2002 - The New York Post reports Jack and Kelly Osbourne were spotted drinking Frozen Hot Chocolate with Mandy Moore at Serendipity 3. Must have been several days ago as Mandy has been in Hawaii on vacation.

May 26, 2002 - Mandy Moore posted on her official website Friday night from her vacation stop in Hawaii. Mandy said, "I am in Kona vacationing with my brother Scott. I promise I will be back soon though. I would love to see more of Hawaii... it's insane."

May 24, 2002 - Mandy Moore checked in with fans on her official site message board, as many were wondering what happened to the usually active posting star. Mandy explained, "I am actually on a vacation (first time in 4 years) in Hawaii. the last few weeks I have been busy in pre-production for 'How to Deal'. I am quite excited for the film to begin (we are at the tail-end of casting). when I get home, it's the MTV Movie Awards and a trip to Australia to look forward to. Can't wait!"

May 22, 2002 - Star magazine was critical of Mandy Moore's pink oufit worn at the Movieline Young Hollywood Awards. They said, "Mandy strikes a wrong note in her ballerina bustier. It's way too nice to be naughty."

May 16, 2002 - Mandy Moore confirmed reports that she'll be doing voice work on the American version of Squaresoft's Kingdom Hearts video game. Mandy said, "I just went in the studio yesterday to do some work on the game. I play 'Aeris' or 'Aerith' (how they spelled it yesterday on the paperwork lol). It should be pretty cool. It was hard to match my intanation and dialogue length with that of the Japanese game and voice talent (since the game is already out in Japan). How it turns out well!!" May 12, 2002 - On the Mandy Moore message board a fan wrote "Mandy, look what someone wrote in my yearbook without me knowing!" The silly drawing was to say at the least, very unflattering. May 11, 2002 - US Weekly quotes Mandy Moore responding to the best advice mother has given to her ahead of Mother's Day on Sunday: "Observe the golden rule. Treat people the way that you want to be treated. It's the first thing that I think of when I think of my mother."

May 11, 2002 - Mandy Moore responded to a question asked on her website message board: "How many push-ups can you do?" Mandy responded with: "Right now I can do 3 sets of 10. I am working on it though. I am quite weak. But soon.... ohhh watch out, lol."

May 10, 2002 - Mandy Moore was asked on her official website's message board if she's still "single and loving it" as she explained in earlier interviews following her breakup to actor Wilmer Valderrama. Mandy said, "Well, I would love to be in a relationship again sometime soon, but I have no control in that matter. He has to find me darnit!! And yes, I have been on several dates since my breakup."

May 10, 2002 - Anonymous writes "The following was taken directly from the mandymoore.com message boards in a closed thread. Apparently, Mandy Moore become friends with someone on the boards and started talking to him over AIM and the telephone. They got in a fight and he posted juicy pieces of gossip from their AIM conversations into the message board, causing quite the stir!" Read more.

May 10, 2002 - Mandy Moore stuck up for her friend and MTV star Kelly Osbourne after a fan posted a picture of the two at the Teen People Hottest Under 25 party. Mandy fans were making catty comments about Kelly's pink outfit and hair, her weight, and pale complextion. Mandy said, "Don't be mean! Kelly rocks and I think she has an incredible sense of style and herself. She is a great friend." Read more.

May 9, 2002 - E! Online's Ted Casablanca spoke to Mandy Moore at the Teen People's 25 Hottest Under 25 gala in Hollywood. Ted quized Mandy on whether she'd follow others in Hollywood and go under the knife of a plastic surgeon. "I would never do that," she said. As for later on in life? "No, never."

May 8, 20002 - A fan asked Mandy Moore on her official site message board on Tuesday whether rumors that she was dating Taylor Hanson were true. Mandy replied, "Where did that come from lol??? No... Sorry."

May 8, 20002 - Mandy Moore was quizzed by a fan on her official site's message board on her religious believes and told the singer that Rev. Billy Graham watched 'A Walk To Remember' and cried. Mandy said, "Wow. It is amazing to hear that Billy Graham watched 'A Walk to Remember' and cried. and in terms of how I live my life and my beliefs, I tend to think it's a rather personal thing and wish to keep it that way. I do believe though, that there is no perfect religion and you need to find out what fulfills you and satisfies your thoughts and beliefs. No one is right or wrong."

May 7, 2002 - Mandy Moore told fans on her official site message board on Sunday that she's a big fan on Nora Jones. Mandy proclaimed, "I love Nora Jones! My mom and I saw her on Leno a few months ago (her 1st TV performance) and I immediately went to buy her album. If you don't have it -- do yourself a favor and go get it right now! I love every song, but 'Don't Know Why' is probably my favorite." 

May 7, 2002 - Mandy Moore checked in with fans who congratulated her following her win at an awards show on Sunday night. Mandy said, "Thank you!! Yes, I attended the Movieline Young Hollywood Awards last night and won an award (along with Shane [West]) for 'Superstar of Tomorrow'. I don't know how they came up with that, but hey -- no pressure or anything, right? Haha. It was fun and got to see some friends. All in all, great night."

May 5, 2002 - Mandy's film 'A Walk To Remember' will be available on VHS and DVD beginning July 9th. The DVD will feature Mandy's 'Cry' video, the theatrical trailer, plus two commentaries - one with Mandy, Shane West, and director Adam Shankman and the other with novelist Nicholas Sparks and screenwriter Karen Janszen.

May 1, 2002 - Jon (aka bills50000), the former moderator at Mandy Moore's official website message board was at Tuesday's taping of MTV's Total Request Live that had Vanessa Carlton as guest. The former moderator turned 'Nessaholic', who was ousted reportedly by Mandy's insistance following his unwelcome visit to her Florida home, gushed on Carlton's message board earlier this evening, "Just needed to say that Vanessa is terribly sweet, and that was the best performance I've ever been to." May 1, 2002 - Mandy Moore recently got the chance to meet one of her celebrity crushes, Josh Groban. "I actually met Josh the other evening (we both had shows in Orlando)," she posted on her official message board. "He was lovely---very polite and we had common interests. That's it though."
