LA and arrived this morning to start my day) and my brain and mouth weren't
working together for some reason. Big boo. Oh well. I had a blast and the
audience was great. Cool music too. That eminem song/video is insane. Wow!

lol?" Perhaps it was for her tennis star boyfriend Andy Roddick. Check

Moore was asked on her official message boards whether she felt it was
scary to work with veteran actors on films, and whether they offer her
advice. Mandy responded, "Of course! Who wouldn't be scared? But luckily,
all have been amazing actors and amazing people. I have learned/observed
so much on this film alone... unreal. It's great to work with people you
have so much admiration and respect for."

Moore's recent claim that she doesn't have an assistant was questioned
since the singer/actress had earlier claimed in her criticism of hte Toronto
Star that she did have an assistant. Mandy responded, "Oh my goodness.
Let's set the record straight here. I had an assitant during 'How to Deal'.
She was hired by the film company to help me out for the summer. The one
and only time I have had an assistant. Other than that, it's just little
old me." Read more.

October 20, 2002 - Mandy
Moore responded to a phoney article posted at a Mandy hostboard forum that
has been fraudulently posing itself as a board Mandy herself posts at.
The article stated that Moore would release 'Disillusioned Dreams' in February
or March of next year, with 'Around The Bend' being the first single. Mandy
said, "Oh my goodness!! Where the heck did you get that info? I'm sorry
to say this, but it couldn't be further from the truth. It's as if someone
completely made it up. I have recorded one song for the album. One. And
it's a cover of a song at that. lol. No album until at least next summer.
Sorry guys, lol." Read more.
October 18, 2002 - Mandy
Moore was quizzed about her faith and who she doesn't insult people who
disagree with her opinions. Mandy said, "As far as faith goes, this is
all I want to say. Spirituality is a very personal/private matter to me.
Although I have faith and religion in my heart, I feel as if no religion
is perfect and what I believe is neither wrong nor right. Bottom line,
what I believe is what i believe." Read more.
October 17, 2002 - A fan
posted a message on Mandy Moore's official forum, saying he has lost all
respect for Mandy, saying her new movie 'Saved' is anti-Christian, after
reading a quote by producer Michael Stipe who said, "It's like those monster
vampire high school kind of movies, only here the monsters are Jesus-freak
teenagers." Mandy replied to the post explaining, "That quote about the
film just doesn't do anything but harm us. It's not what the film is about
at ALL. First of all, I am a person with faith and would never compromise
that by doing a film in which that faith was mocked or portrayed in a bad
light. 'Saved' is not anti-anything. The film deals with everyday issues
that everyday teens deal with: diversity, tolerance, love, acceptance,
and figuring out who you are what you believe in (except these teens happen
to attend a Christian high school and their lives are centered around Jesus).
In a sense, this film is like a celebration of Christianity through comedy
(so obviously things may be exaggerated for comedic effect). All in all,
it's pretty freakin' hilarious!!! Although, this film may not be for everyone....
but what movie is?"
October 13, 2002 - Mandy
Moore is featured in the latest Got Milk? ad, and is also featured on the
homepage of their official website. They write, "Walking down the red carpets
of some of Hollywood's hottest premiers, actress/singer Mandy Moore stands
head and shoulders above most others…literally. At a statuesque 5'9" tall,
Moore credits eating and drinking healthy foods and beverages throughout
her teen years for helping her grow to her full height potential. To help
other teens understand the benefits of a healthy diet, including drinking
plenty of calcium-rich milk that can help teens grow, Moore has donned
the famous white 'stache as the newest celebrity in the Milk Mustache campaign."

No 'Mandy Moore' songs thank goodness, but our finale the other night was
'Oops I Did It Again'. We all had a blast doing it, Although one of our
favorites is 'Sweet Home Alabama'. We even tried 'The Real Slim Shady',
but it was a bit too difficult, very funny however."

October 7, 2002 - Bob Strauss
of The Guardian recently caught up with Mandy Moore to talk about her role
in 'A Walk to Remember', whether her future would be primarily acting or
singing, and whether she's considering a sexier image now that she's an
adult. On the latter subject, Mandy said, "It's not that. I mean, I am
religious, I have faith. But it's just about me being me, and not being
comfortable going in that direction. I'm not criticising it; it's just
not me. It works for people who have the confidence to pull it off. I'm
only 18, and I don't have that type of confidence in myself yet." Read

yes. So I write to you from the dreary confines of my hotel room in Vancouver--
waiting to see at what time I will work today. 'Saved', by the way, is
going magnificently. I have never laughed so hard or enjoyed the company
of those I am working with as I am with these crazy folks. We go shopping,
play goofy games, and karaoke together. Although I suck at Scatagories
and I won't even embarrass myself with the score again (FYI: I was distracted
because we were on set and I was focused on work), we all like hanging
out and it's great to be surrounded with such talented young people." Read

October 7, 2002 - Mandy Moore
confirmed to a Canadian fan on her official message board that indeed she
is having a great time filming 'Saved' on Vancouver. Mandy said, "Hehe...
oh yes. It's not quite a rumor. On our days off, our cast likes to find
a good time. We have been karaokeing 2 times so far. Some of us just saw
a movie tonight ('Red Dragon'), and we have been known to go grocery shopping
at the local organic grocery store (ohhhhh...ahhhh). lol. We work a lot
(mostly 14-15 hour days) and are usually too tired to even think of anything
other than sleep. I don't think I have ever gotten ready so quickly in
the morning (as I do with this film just to grab a couple of extra minutes
of sleep - I feel like a boy in that respect lol). Anyways, I'm tired and
kinda sick (everyone here has it ----big boo). Off to bed for me."
