December 30, 2002 - A fan
asked Mandy Moore on her official website how far she is along on her new
album. Mandy responded, "Only 4 songs have been recorded thus far, as I
decided to take most of November and December off to spend with friends
and family. I am on vacation right now, but as soon I get home, I am heading
right back into the studio. At this point, most of the decided-upon tracks
should be done. This album is pretty different than what most are expecting
and is being kept quite hush-hush by all those working on it. I suspect
it should be done by mid-February, but as far as a relase date. I
have no clue. I've heard whispers of a late April, early May release, but
it's not really up to me, lol."
December 19, 2002 - Mandy
Moore shared her thoughts on the recent photo of her and boyfriend Andy
Roddick watching the Miami Heat NBA game earlier this week. Mandy said,
"I like that picture. Much more than the 'first official' one. But come
on... some people are reading into it way too much. It's one random picture...
one where I happened to be looking up at some friends who came to the game
with us. I am very happy and in love and glad the picture depicts that
in a sense." Read more.
December 18, 2002 - Andy
Roddick and Mandy Moore attended a Miami Heat against the Houston Rockets
NBA game at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida on Monday (December
16). Check out a photo here.
December 12, 2002 - Mandy
Moore denied a posting on her official message board that quoted her 'Saved'
character Hillary Faye saying, "I mean honestly your not born a gay your
born again. You gave someone a job at the promisemakers rally right? Prayer
Works, its been medically proven." Mandy says, "Those lines are definitely
misquoted and from about 4 different scenes -- not one big monolouge. and
as much as I love it, don't believe everything you read on imdb. They let
any/everyone submit info. And for those of you who don't know, 'Saved'
isn't anti-anything, it's a celebration of Christianity and finding out
who you are in the form of a comedy." Read more.
December 9, 2002 - Commenting
on the same photo discussed earlier, Mandy Moore explained what was on
her shirt that she wore watching boyfriend Andy Roddick play tennis. Mandy
said, "I wear vintage t-shirts everyday. That particular one is an old
insurance agency t-shirt Get the 'protection' part now??? lol." The shirt
said 'protected' on it with some sort of crown below. Check it out here.
December 9, 2002 - A fan
on Mandy Moore's forum posted a picture they thought was of her and boyfriend
Andy Roddick, but Mandy says it wasn't - she actually said it 7 times repeatedly
hitting the submit button and posting two slightly different answers. "Hehe....
No. That pic is not of Andy," Mandy said. "I am pictured sitting with one
of Andy's friends watching a charity event that Andy participated in a
few weeks ago. The boys were chanting and singing songs to Andy on the
court and it was cracking me up. Too much fun... And hey remember that
childhood rule of --'if you can't say something nice, then don't say anything
at all'?" Check out the photo in question and fan reaction here.
December 4, 2002 - Josh Groban
shot down rumors that he was dating Mandy Moore to Katrillion.com. "We're
just friends," Groban said. "We were kind of laughing at that. We both
travel a lot and people are needy. Dating someone in the entertainment
industry is really difficult because it's always 'me, me, me.' It's hard
to be committed." For her part, Mandy told fans likewise on her official
message board on Sunday, "No... but I LOVE Josh. He's a good friend and
seriously.... he's the best (uber-talented too)."
December 4, 2002 - ShockYourMind.org

December 3, 2002 - Mandy
Moore posted about dying her hair back to brown from blonde after she was
done filming 'Saved': "Yah, I was in the salon the day after I wrapped
'Saved'," she said. "Couldn't stand being blonde for another moment...
lol."
December 3, 2002 - A fan
asked Mandy Moore on her official message board what she thinks about people
who say she's changed and how they miss the old Mandy. The singer/actress
responded, "To be honest, I don't understand either. To point out that
I have changed is rather silly, because, it's obvious. I'm 18 and I am
sure everyone on this board has changed momentously in some ways over the
past 4 years, as I have. I've been lucky to travel the globe and meet new
people each and every day... some friends, some acquaintances, but many
people, places, and things have left a huge impact one me. And like many
of you have said, I love change. I embrace it (most of the time) because
I believe that everything happens for a reason."
December 3, 2002 - Gisele

December 2, 2002 - Mandy
Moore posted on her official message board on Sunday, "Completely off topic,
but... pugs rock! I recently got a mini pug (last week in fact) while visiting
in Florida. His name is Dexter and he's only 2 pounds, but boy does he
ever let a fart rip! Woah... He's sleeping on my lap right now and doesn't
even realize how smelly it is. Ollie and Winston love him, even though
he steals their toys and eats their food. Too cute. I'm definitely obsessed
and had to let you guys know."
December 1, 2002 - A fan
on Mandy Moore's message board asked the singer/actress if she had ever
thought about joining a beauty pageant like Miss Florida. Mandy responded,
"After hosting 'Ms. Teen USA', I realized that I was not cut out for the
pageant life. I just couldn't deal with that kind of competiton and disappointment.
My props to those who do."
December 1, 2002 - fans4music
writes "EMusicFan.com reports in an unprecedented move, Warner Bros. is
scheduled to release on video and DVD a new version of the hit romantic
drama 'A Walk To Remember'. In an effort to market this story directly
to the Christian community, the studio has made several changes to the
content of the original movie, including the removal of profanity and other
edits. In addition, new dialogue has been added that will also enhance
the faith-based aspects of the film's story. One of the producers, Hunt
Lowry says, "We were so impressed with the overwhelming positive response
in the Christian world to 'A Walk To Remember', that this is our way of
saying thank you for your support." Look for this new 'Walk' in Christian
bookstores nationwide just in time for Christmas."
December 1, 2002 - Mandy
Moore told fans on her official message board earlier today: "I was inspired
by one of my castmates on 'Saved' to start compiling a list of things I
want to accomplish in my life. I know some of you are saying, 'but didn't
playing Jamie help you to realize that?' the truth is... it did. But I
needed that influence to pick up my pen and pick apart my brain again.
To make my point... skydiving was something on my list and crazy as it
may seem climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro is on my list too... hehe. Other random
desires include: Throwing a fancy dinner party, opening a theater for young
people, learning to knit a scarf. At this time, I have over 150 crazy things
on my list, and it's growing everyday. I would encourage everyone to write
a list. It's exciting to think of the possibilities."
