March 25, 2003 - Mandy Moore
was on the Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn on Monday where she interviewed
and performed. During her rehearsal on Monday, she had a strange accident
with her ear monitor. "I, of course, went to the rest room wearing it still
and fell in the toilet... I didn't fall in. Rather, the actual pack fell
in the toilet," Mandy explained. "I took the ear pieces off and the back
of the thing fell in the toilet." Did she try to catch it? "I just heard
the plop and felt the splash from the toilet. And it wasn't -- I hadn't
gone to the bathroom yet, thankfully, but it was a little embarrassing. And
I felt bad because we were standing there trying to dry it with a hair
dryer." Mandy performed without the earpiece.

revolves... or rather stops at 8 o'clock to watch 'Idol'. I never watched
it last season. I dismissed it as dumb and pointless; however, I'm hooked
now. Rueben and Charles are my favorites. I'm not a big fan of any of the
girls. I actually would love to go to a taping one of these days."

made a request to fans to have them pray for her ill grandmother on her
official message board tonight. She writes, "How are you? Hello from Miami
and home of Spring Break '03. I just arrived today but I'm very ready to
go home at this point. The past few days have been very rough on my family
and I'm not really in a partying mood. My grandma is in the hospital after
suffering from a heart attack and pneumonia. It's beyond wierd to visit
someone you know in a hospital (they freak me out). I don't even know why
I'm writing on the message board about this. Maybe it's because I'm so
close with my gram and she's the one who always encouraged me to sing growing
up and believed in me before anyone else. If you could keep her in your
prayers, I'd be grateful. Thanks guys. xoxox, Mandy." Send your best wishes

March 8, 2003 - Mandy Moore
was quizzed about her earlier comments that she was a singer first only
to tell Movieline that "I feel more like an actress than a musician." Moore
candidly stated, "Ahhh, again something is misunderstood by some... hehe.
Here's the deal: My comment had nothing to do with what I feel more commited
to... music or films. Music has my heart and is my number one priority,
love, and passion. but, since 'Walk' came out over a year ago, people have
had more of an awarness of me and my efforts in film. It's very accurate
to admit that I have had more success in my film ventures than music. Hell...
no one heard 'Mandy Moore' and I'm still pretty damn proud of it. Most
people know me more as an actress, then as a singer. It has been an adjustment
and quite frustrating in a sense, as I have always voiced my love of being
a recording artist. We'll hafta see what the future holds... I am hoping
the new record will mold most people's perception of my career."

Spears. Christina, I listen to her songs sometimes, but I think she's too
dirty. Mandy Moore is a sweet girl... I like her more as an actress than
singer." Read more.
