June 29, 2003 - Mandy Moore
has posted more new songs from her forthcoming 'Coverage' album, including
a cover of Carly Simon's 'Anticipation' and Joe Jackson's 'Breaking Us
In Two'. On the Simon hit, Moore commented, "This is probably the song
that I was the most familiar with, even before the ketchup commercial.
But again I didn't know much about Carly Simon. I'm still learning about
all these artists, But I'm interested to read biographies and find out
where they were born and what was going through their heads when they were
writing their music and what struggles they went through. I like the stories
behind the music. I love the passion in her voice when she sings." Read

June 20, 2003 - Mandy Moore
checked in with fans on her official website message board earlier this
month while shooting a new film in London. She revealed, "The record is
done and 'How to Deal' is on it's way on the 18th of July. I'm leaving
the set for a few days to attend the nyc premiere on July 16th and hang
with friends and family who'll be there for the event. Very excited!!!
On a bit of a sadder note---my gram passed away at the begining of April.
It was and has been a very tough time for my family, but we're managing
to power ahead. Thank you to all of you for your kinds thoughts and prayers.
It meant alot to my family and to her. Everything else is pretty much the
same." Read more.
June 18, 2003 - The latest
preview clip from Mandy Moore's new album 'Coverage' is the Blondie hit
'One Way Or Another'. Mandy writes, "I was intrigued by Debbie Harry after
working with her on the film, 'Try Seventeen'. Everyone had told me as
much as they could about her but I had to dive into her music and see for
myself. This song completely stood out. I definitely had to have the New
Wave flava on this record. I wouldn't say I'm a huge all-out Blondie fanatic
but I knew that I loved this song. This was one of the last songs we recorded
and I just knew that the record needed something from this era." Listen

June 11, 2003 - Mandy Moore
chatted with Bill Zwecker of the Chicago Sun-Times before heading off to
Prague to continue filming Warner Bros.' flick about a rambunctious presidential
daughter in a film still titled 'Untitled Mandy Moore Project.' The flick
will feature a nude scene, where Mandy says "my character jumps into the
river in Prague... it's her way of expressing her freedom. Frankly, I think
I'd come up with another way, but that's what's in the script--so I'll
do it. But don't worry, I've got a butt double." Read more.
June 9, 2003 - Mandy Moore
has posted several more new clips from her forthcoming album 'Coverage',
the latest being the Cat Stevens classic 'Moonshadow'. Mandy commented,
"This has a childlike quality to it. That same quality of innocence and
beauty. The song is talking about being grateful for what you have and
I loved it automatically. It was one song I knew would be a great choice
for me to keep true to the original form and sing it the way it was written.
We've kept it acoustic and simple. It was my opportunity to bring everything
down. It was a fun song to record and I did it in like forty minutes."

she would have been a goner. No one knows why it fell, perhaps it was dislodged
by one of the crew."
