November 26, 2006 - Mandy Moore's forthcoming album will mark the first time that the singer/actress has written or co-written every song. The track list is now being whittled down from 18 completed tracks. "It means a lot to me to make something that's mine," Moore told Billboard. "It's a passion project. It won't matter if it doesn't sell tons or have this high level of success." Plans are to release the album in April 2007, which Moore hopes will coincide with a tour in smaller theaters and "cool clubs." Read more.

November 7, 2006 - Mandy Moore checked in with fans on her blog at Myspace on Tuesday (October 24), from an unspecified mountain location, where she's working on her new album. "Well hello there," Moore writes. "Just finished dinner and in the studio listening to some guitar overdubs on 'Extraordinary' (my favorite song of the moment). Dying to sing. Been in the studio all day, discovering how to accept friends on Myspace. It's been quite the process. I love the fall. Good gracious. I've taken to having my camera by side most of the day to capture all the yumminess. It's very chilly on top of this mountain, but I'm loving every minute of my stay here. Oh--I've seen 4 bears since i arrived!! One was while I was out on a morning hike and the others were seen from the comfort of my car. They're intimidating but rather cute." Read more.

"I have never really been in the studio 24/7 to watch and be a part of a producer and band figuring things out, trying the unknown and then just finding a groove -- it's beyond exciting. For the first time, I really feel like I am coming into my own in the studio. I guess ALL GOOD THINGS come in due time. We are about 15 songs into recording just the basic tracks. From there, we will begin overdubs, vocals and have visits here by some of my favorite people in the whole world....Lori McKenna, The Weepies and a few others. It's really like camp up here and just so good to be away and focused on nothing but this album." Read more.

I had no clue what to dress up as, so I ended up with a blue wig and cape at the last minute. Not very inventive, I know.... but the best part of this halloween is the lovely company (which happens to include THE WEEPIES). YEAH! They are up here hanging, playing, singing and being their cool, cool selves. What can I say -- I just adore 'em. Also, Lori McKenna was up here last week and was her usual amazing self (played some guitar and sang a bit too).... I CAN'T WAIT FOR YOU GUYS TO HEAR THIS RECORD!!!! It's sounding pretty snazzy. November 7, 2006 - Mandy Moore imposter web site MandyMooreM****.com is at it again, submitting a fake news release to transworldnews.com, suggesting the singer had left her personal manager of seven years, Jon Leshay. Moore has been dogged by the imposter, who spams several web sites with links to their fake site and has submitted fake news releases for several years. Earlier this year, Moore's Myspace page was hijacked by the web hoodlum before the singer and her fans were able to get the popular site to restore her account.

October 12, 2006 - Mandy Moore checked in with fans on her reclaimed blog at Myspace on Friday (September 29), after the site was briefly hijacked her longtime online impersonator. "Hello all! Just wanted to write and inform you of my presence in the studio (finally)," Moore writes. "I arrived yesterday and am in control room listening to the band kick some ass as we speak.
