was on MTV for this weekend's TRL Superstars, which also featured her video
Candy. Every time we see her, we're amazed how poised she looks in front
of the camera, moreso than most of her older peers... And we won't even
talk about Raymond, yuk!

20, 2000 - MTV had an Ultrasound episode which talked about her record
signing where she said it wasn't a life changing event for her to get signed
and it came as a surprise. She waited till the last minute to tell school
friends she got her deal and was leaving town. They then talked about how
Candy didn't do well on radio but faired better on MTV when they got to
see Mandy.
May 20, 2000 - Gutsy Mandy
Moore took part in EmTV's special with Eminem. She played a role as style
judge in Say What Karaoke which Em played Scott from Michigan State. The
nerdily dressed wannabe received only a 6 from Mandy.
May 20, 2000 - Well Mandy
Moore's I Wanna Be with You only sold 60,000 copies its first week out
and landed in the #21 spot... Not nearly as disappointing as Hanson did
considering this wasn't really a new album.
May 19, 2000 - Mandy Moore
is going to have a live video "press conference" with her fans on May 24th
at Artistdirect.com.
May 18, 2000 - Mandy cleared
up a few more rumors on her official site, she says she ISN'T dating Taylor
Hanson, Carson Daly, Justin Timberlake, or Nick Carter, and Ricky Martin..
that Brian McFayden and her are just good friends, that she really does
post her messages.
May 15, 2000 - Mandy Moore
was on a Yahoo! chat session tonight and she said that rumors she was dating
Brian McFayden were untrue (and Carson for that matter) adding "he's older,
my parents would have no part of that". She added that Wannabe VJ Raymond
apologized if he offended regarding his Barbie Doll comment and that they
get along great.

Bob Remstein has a review out of Mandy Moore's new CD I Wanna Be With
You where he compares her to Christina by saying "...unlike, say, Aguilera's
album, which finds the high-school senior rather unremarkably R&B-ing
her way toward adulthood over a slightly sophisticated backing, Moore's
record hints that she may actually be the superior singer..."
May 13, 2000 - Mandy Moore
attended the opening of New York's Bar Code, a new nightclub and arcade.
She came to the event with MTV veejay Brian McFayden, according to the
New York Daily News. The funny part is that the crowd all thought she was
Britney Spears, who arrived to the club later that night.

claims about Mandy's love life in school, in which Mandy herself attacked

going about usenet is that Mandy is dating on of the Hanson brothers, though
nobody specific is mentioned. [doubt it]

about the whole Raymond attitude, and she said he was just kidding and
that "it's all good". Well, we don't buy it! Time will tell if these two
will get along at MTV.

that the winner of Wannabe a VJ 3, Raymond, was kind of a jerk to Mandy?
It was no doubt apparent when he dissed his competitor Shannon saying there
are enough blonde Barbie dolls on MTV as it is.
