November 30, 2003 - Madfan writes "Based on the votes of some 1.2 million members of the Yahoo! My Movies website, pop singer Mariah Carey's movie 'Glitter' made it to the Top 5 in 'The Top Turkeys of All Time' list, which came out on 'Turkey Day,' Thanksgiving Day. November 30, 2003 - Pat Monahan of the Georgetown Hoya shared his thoughts on Mariah Carey after hearing about her extravagent demands on a tour of China. He writes, "Celebrities can be pretty tough to please, but we’re not talking about someone who has permanently earned their place in music’s pantheon of all-time greats. We’re talking about Mariah Carey here — someone who, despite her supposed eight-octave vocal range hasn't really had a hit since she decided she’d get rid of the curly hair, flannel shirts and wholesome image after divorcing Tommy Mottola. Madonna might be able to get away with this kind of thing, even though her latest single doesn't really seem to contain much 'musical' talent and she’s been better-known as the chick that kissed Britney Spears than as a musician in the past few months. The only musician I can think of that would have been able to pull off that kind of extravagance in his heyday (and might have actually done it if the opportunity presented itself) is Elvis, and, well, we all know what he's up to these days — or do we?" Carey's voice filled the car: "I can make it through the rain. I can stand up once again." Last week, microphone in hand, Sanderson softly sang the words in front of her client's brand new house, freshly painted in yellow and green. November 19, 2003 - LJDamizza writes "The first thing that came in my mind after seeing the concert was to make a review about it, and a fair one, and I'm sure as to everyone who also came to see the highly successful concert will agree on me. The show as always started very late like two hours late and I guess I did kind of enjoy waiting cause I was hearing everything they expect about Mariah. I remember someone saying it’s a make or break for Mariah, and I surely agreed! And all of a sudden the crowd all stood all screaming for Mariah as she came from the right part of the crowd surrounded by a group of body guards as she sang ‘Heartbreaker Remix’ and also the dancers started to flip they're bodies up and down, a very nice opening but I’m sure she did some lip synching in some high part of the song. And the rest is history and really made the Filipinos feel great, you know in the Philippines we don't just appreciate music in an instance, it’s still the voice that we evaluate, but Mariah made us dance, stand in our chairs and scream for more. And her body is just perfect. And the show is also a 2 in one show; we get to see a fashion show with all those gowns and an auction show for those millions of worth diamonds she wore. I don't want to tell how the show flowed but she really did a fantastic job. The highlights were not just highlights it was legendary, it was as if her voice is in full condition, belting song higher than the original, wild crowd gave her around 4 imagine 4 standing ovations. I say the money I spent is worth it. It’s the best show I’ve been and how I wish she'll do it again."
