Vegas is hoping to replace the Siegfried & Roy act with Mariah Carey.
While several are vying for the opportunity to fill the now empty theater,
insiders say the job is Carey's if she wants it.

Friedman of FoxNews.com hears that the CD Mariah Carey recorded was apparently
not to the liking of Island Def Jam's L.A. Reid, who hopes to turn the
divas record sales fortunes around. Apparently Reid was so displeased with
the album, that the new release date has been moved to next winter or spring.
