Jermaine Dupri, who worked with her on four tracks on Mariah Carey's forthcoming
album, spoke with MTV News about the diva's 'The Emancipation of Mimi',
due out March 22nd. "I brought Mariah back to Mariah Carey," Dupri said.
"Her singing is something kids could follow. All those kids like Christina
Aguilera, they looked up to Mariah when they first came out. That was the
person they liked voicewise. In the studio, I'm telling Mariah, 'This is
what you gotta do, you gotta get yourself back to what kids is following'."

27, 2004 - ContactMusic.com reports that Mariah Carey is planning a pricey
Christmas gift to close female friends and family - a pair of $28,500 stockings
from her new clothing line coming out in 2005. "Mariah is bringing out
a range of hosiery called 'Mariah Kiss Kiss' next year," a source said.
"As part of this range she's designed some diamante-encrusted, old-fashioned
stockings, but for her closest pals she had some made up with real diamonds."

Carey will be the headlining artist on the Walt Disney World Christmas
Day Parade airing on ABC TV Christmas Day from 1:00PM to 3:00PM (EST),
12:00PM to 2:00PM (CT), 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM (MST) and 3:00PM to 5:00PM
(PST). Carey will perform 'Joy To The World' and her own popular single

Entertainment News Network reports that Mariah Carey has defended her much-maligned
film 'Glitter'. "The film may not have done well at the box office," she
admitted. "But we picked up plenty of DVDs and I picked up one or two awards
along the way."
December 13, 2004 - According
to Us Weekly, Mariah Carey is bringing her act to Broadway beginning next
year with a Christmas themed musical. "It will be an event people look
forward to, like the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall," Carey's manager
Benny Medina said.
December 6, 2004 - The New
York Post reports Mariah Carey was spotted leaving Canal Room with Andre
Harrell as two fans got into a fight over a photo of the songbird and got
themselves arrested.
