May 26, 2005 - Randy Jackson sat down with pal Mariah Carey in an interview for 'Extra'. After Jackson told Carey this has been called her most revealing album to date, the singer responded, "The personal side of me on this record is the fun side that you would know, or anybody who really knows me would know that when I say something silly, like (sings) 'them chickens is ash and I'm lotion', we're having jokes, it's fun." May 26, 2005 - Mariah Carey was on 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno' on Wednesday to promote her new album 'The Emancipation Of Mimi' and perform her new single 'We Belong Together'. Mariah and Jay talked about Carey's "cocktail dress", swimming with dolphins in Australia, Mariah-isms, and fans getting tattoos of her - including one who appeared on 'People's Court'. May 26, 2005 - The New York Post reports Mariah Carey is getting a style makeover from her new best friend — Vogue editor-at-large Andre Leon Talley. "I introduced them two months ago because Mariah needed guidance," Carey's rep and pal Marvet Britto told Page Six. "She has an incredible sense of style — but then she went out in outfits like cutoff shorts and tank tops. It was her old team of people telling her to wear that. Mariah always said she would love Andre's guidance and wisdom, and when I called him to help her, he was thrilled and said, 'I would be honored!'" Read more.
