against the diva charges sparked by her cancelled Hong Kong concert. "You
know, calling me a diva is an easy option just because I am a singer and
an actress," she explained. "But the word diva really cannot be applied

producer Lee Daniels tells the Philadelphia Daily News that Mariah Carey,
widely dissed for her work in 'Glitter', is "a survivor" who is going to
prove her critics wrong. "The studios don't believe in her," Daniels explained.
"They think I'm crazy for hiring her, but people said the same thing when
I hired Halle Berry."

News reports that during an interview on his Sirius Satellite Radio station,
Shade 45, Eminem insisted he did have a relationship with Mariah Carey,
and isn't happy about her denials. "Yes, me and Mariah did have a relationship
for about a good six, seven months," said Em. "(But) it didn't work. I
wasn't really into what she was into; our personalities collided. She's
a diva, and I'm a little more regular, I guess." Slim called Mimi a "bitch"
and "c***" over her denials explaining, "I can never deny her talent, but
the fact that she denied we ever had something, that's bad."

Carey's management, Handprint Entertainment, is responding to news her
concert in Hong Kong was cancelled due to what Concerts Asia deemed "poor
response" and "unreasonable demands". Benny Medina of Handprint tells AFP,
"Due to a financial default by the promoter, it is with great sadness that
Mariah will not be able to perform for her fans in Hong Kong. We gave them
time to pay but he kept missing the new deadlines."

writes "Mariah Carey's ''Adventures of Mimi'' tour is continuing to suffer
from poor ticket sales. Concerts Asia announced through their website that
Mariah's latest show will be cancelled due to "poor response" and "unreasonable
demands" from the diva. The show only managed to sell 4,000 tickets to
her Hong Kong concert despite heavy promotion. Mariah also had to cancel
dates in the U.S, due to poor ticket sales, earlier this year. Read more."

Gala at the Beverly Hills Hotel on November 17th, where Mariah Carey will
receive the inaugural Wish Icon Award. "We are delighted to have the opportunity

in supporting wish fulfillment for children and their families. It is particularly
