Angelina Jolie's Dress Was Never Stolen
The appeal for the return of Angelina Jolie's stolen Oscars dress has turned out to be a hoax - she doesn't even know the man who claims to have designed it. The Tomb Raider stunner, 27, was said to have had a figure-hugging red corset dress worth $4,500 designed for her by Scott Henshall stolen just says before she was due to fly from London to Los Angeles for the March 23 ceremony. Henshall, who claimed the dress was stolen from his BMW which was parked in London's posh Knightsbridge, appealed, "I would offer a cash reward to anyone who returned them in time. I have already been searching litter bins in the area in case the dresses were dumped. There were 20 outfits in the collection and now the nine most glamorous have gone. There is no way I can remake Angelina's or any of the other dresses in time." But a source close to the Academy Award-winning Girl, Interrupted star tells American magazine Us Weekly, "She doesn't know this man, nor has he designed her dress." Jolie's dress was, in fact, designed by Giorgio Armani. But in the end, the whole storm over dresses was for nothing - Jolie opted out of this year's ceremony, deeming it "inappropriate" because of the current war.

I hope Mr. Henshall gets in trouble for false reporting to a police officer if he made such a report when there wasn't a theft... or maybe there was a theft but he just wanted public attention to draw interest in his designs. It wouldn't be the first time someone has used a famous person's name to get their name in the spot light.
