BURBANK, CA (January 11, 2001)
The WB’s Sunday night comedy GROSSE POINTE will feature a pageant of guest stars for all four Sundays in February.

The guest star gala begins on Sunday, February 4 when Kristin Davis ('Sex and the City') appears as herself, playing a hateful madam in the strip club where Courtney/Laura (Bonnie Somerville) now works in the fictional series. Davis’ HBO series, 'Sex and the City,' is created and executive produced by Darren Star, who holds those same positions with GROSSE POINTE. Additionally, Ms. Davis’ breakthrough role came when she starred on 'Melrose Place,' another series created by Mr. Star.

Jason Priestley, who starred for eight seasons in the landmark series 'Beverly Hills, 90210,' will act in and direct the February 11 episode. Priestley is the first star from the original cast of '90210' (which was also created by Star) to guest star on the new comedy. Also in the episode, Sam Rubin, entertainment reporter for KTLA/The WB5 in Los Angeles, will appear as himself.

In the February 18 episode entitled 'Passion Fish,' written and directed by Star, Marcy (Lindsay Sloane) takes advantage of her casual friendship with Golden Globe nominee Sarah Michelle Gellar ('Buffy the Vampire Slayer') to ask her to guest star on the show. To everyone’s surprise Sarah agrees, but has one condition - that her role to includes a kiss with Marcy’s character. Also guest starring in the episode as a reporter for the TV Guide Channel is the channel’s Music News reporter Katie Wagner and TV Guide national writer Mark Schwed, who will be writing a story for the magazine about his guest starring experience.

On the February 25 season finale, Grosse Pointe’s notorious diva, Hunter Fallow (Irene Molloy) and her new beau, Dweezil Zappa (as himself), surprise everyone with their impetuous wedding which includes celebrity bridesmaid, actress Elizabeth Berkley ('Any Given Sunday,' 'First Wives Club'). GROSSE POINTE is executive produced by Star and Robin Schiff for Artists Television Group.
