DiCaprio staffs 'Shepherd'
Posted by Peanut - November 21, 2002

Leonardo DiCaprio has signed on to star in Universal Pictures' epic drama "The Good Shepherd," to be directed by Robert De Niro, who also is producing through his and Jane Rosenthal's studio-based Tribeca Prods. along with American Zoetrope. The producers hope to be in production in fall 2003, though that date is not yet firm. DiCaprio is next expected to go before the cameras for director Martin Scorsese in "The Aviator," to be produced by Initial Entertainment, Michael Mann's Forward Pass and DiCaprio's Appian Way. He also is attached to star in Universal Pictures/20th Century Fox's epic "Alexander the Great." Written by Eric Roth, "Shepherd" will see DiCaprio star as James Wilson, an idealistic, patriotic young man recruited fresh out of Yale University to become one of the founding officers of the CIA. The story chronicles the history of the CIA through Wilson's 40-year career and the toll his work takes on his life and family.

Thanks for the news. Leo will be one busy man for the next couple years! :) The Good Shepard sounds like kind of a boring story but who knows. :P :P :P :P :P
