      When did you start liking Leo? I became one of the Leo Lovers in 1998. I first saw him in Titanic. If it wasnt for Titanic I would know a Leonardo Dicaprio ever existed! {its probably not tru} So, what year did you become a fan? What was it that made you notice him ? {magazine ,movie ,ect.}

                                         Thanx,

My classmates back in highschool were drooling at a magazine with Leo on the cover. I was totally unaware who he was and didn't pay any interest. Then I've seen a behind-the-scenes feature of R&J at MTV, and thought that he was fine. R&J is his first film that I watched.

1995 I first saw 'What's eating Gilbert Grape' I thought he was just amazing, then I got intersted in him and wathched his other movies. I loved 'Rimbaud Verlaine' the movie itself sucks but his perfomance couldn't be equaled by any other actor had he not been chosen for this part, I also loved R&J, Basket Ball Diaries, and the beach (though it was somewhat disappointing).
I didn't like The man in the Iron Mask and Titanic for I just thought these movies were meant to be blocbusters and I prefer him in unusual roles, in sort of 'not-meant-to-make-big-money' productions, and I didn't like all the TV series in which he was.
I think he deserves far more respect than the people of the business grant him: he's not really taken seriously just because his popular with teens, it just isn't fair :(

Yes I agree with Laura. Titanic and Man in the Iron mask were too commercialized. I hope Leo would do more movies which have a kind of 'independent movie' feel to it. I liked THE BEACH a lot. The message of the movie was good. Don't know why it flopped in the US. Maybe his fans wants to see more of him in Titanic-like movies. But I prefer him in movies which might not be big-budgeted but at least makes a lot of sense.

I started liking Leo when he was in 'The Basketball Diaries'. And then 'Romeo and Juliet.' After Titanic, he was huge and he always looked scruffy and like he needed a bath so I lost interest. But now he looks hot again! YEA!

I've the feeling his next two movies - namely Gangs Of NY and Catch Me If You Can- are gonna be very commercialised. I think it will do him some good if those two did well and if he could get a few awards for them, it's always conforting and good for the moral, still I hope he won't forget to be where he is not expected, that's what he does best
What do you think?
