NEW YORK (AP) - For those of you who haven't had enough of Jennifer Lopez in movies, music and fashion, now you can see her on television, too.
Lopez has agreed to a deal with NBC for a series of music specials, the first of which is scheduled to air this fall, the network announced Monday.
NBC also is developing a half-hour sitcom loosely based on the singer-actress' family and the neighborhood in which she grew up in the Bronx.
Lopez will perform only in the music special this fall, though. Her production company, Nuyorican Productions, will co-produce three additional music and entertainment specials, as well as the sitcom.
'Jennifer Lopez is the country's hottest entertainer now with crossover appeal in film, music, fashion and many other genres,' Jeff Zucker, president of NBC Entertainment, said in a statement.
The deal marks a return to TV for the 30-year-old performer, who was one of the 'Fly Girl' dancers on the Fox variety show 'In Living Color' in 1990.
Her new film, 'Angel Eyes' opens Friday, and her single 'Play' off the 'J.Lo' album is in the Billboard Top 20. She recently released a line of clothing with Andy Hilfiger, younger brother of designer Tommy Hilfiger.
