J. LO FRAGRANCE TO LAUNCH THIS FALL

As if being creative director of her own clothing line weren't enough, on-screen It Girl and beauty siren Jennifer Lopez is joining a slew of other celebs in launching her own signature fragrance this fall. Sweetface Fashion Co. LLC (a collaboration Lopez formed with Andy Hilfiger last April) just signed a worldwide licensing deal with Lancaster Group U.S. to develop and market her fragrance and cosmetics line.
But just because she has signed the paperwork does not mean this girl is giving up any control - she will retain full creative direction of the fragrance. The as yet unnamed scent was her own vision, from start to finish.
Ads for J-Lo's contemporary sportswear line will appear in April and May glossies and a reported $5 million in advertising will be spent on it. No advertising plans for the fragrance have been made.
The musky, floral scent will initially launch in the U.S., the U.K, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. No financial terms of the Lancaster deal have yet been disclosed.
