Shakira, Pink Notch Triple Platinum

Slightly more than six months after their respective releases, the latest albums by Latin star Shakira and pop/R&B artist Pink have been certified triple-platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Shakira's Epic set 'Laundry Service' and Pink's Arista collection 'M!ssundastood' each shipped 3 million copies in the U.S. by the end of May, according to the RIAA.

Released last Nov. 13, 'Laundry Service' debuted at No. 3 on The Billboard 200 and No. 6 on Billboard's Top Internet Albums chart, and features the singles 'Whenever, Wherever' and 'Underneath Your Clothes,' which topped out at No. 6 and No. 9 on the Hot 100, respectively. Issued just one week later, 'M!ssundastood,' bowed at No. 8 on The Billboard 200, and boasts the hit 'Get the Party Started,' which reached No. 4 on the Hot 100.

Last year's 'The Fast and Furious' soundtrack reached platinum in its latest review by the RIAA. The Murder Inc. collection -- which features tracks by Ashanti, Ja Rule, and Limp Bizkit with DMX, Redman, and Method Man, among others -- was certified for U.S. shipments of 1 million copies.

A pair of albums released last month -- one by rap collective Big Tymers ('Hood Rich,' Cash Money/Universal), the other the multi-artist soundtrack to 'Spider-Man' (Columbia) -- were each certified gold for U.S. shipments of 500,000 copies.
