um...They have a bunch of classic covers that they do (ya know, to make people get into their style) but then they also have some *very* origional things that they play. They're pretty good, their vocalist just needs a little more practice ;)

Cover bands get boring fast!

Their album Highly Evolved is out July 16th in US - get it, they are class, and it, is class. f***ing mad live performers too.

I'll start coming in here a bit more frequently then, but this is about the only band i've seen on here who i like, recently. Anyway, you can hear the whole album here mtv.com/music/first_listen/vines/http://www.mtv.com/music/first_listen/vines/ - The Vines are "Buzzworthy" on eMpTyV.

You like The Hives too? They are fantastic! I saw The White Stripes at Glastonbury last week - they are amazing live, 'cos they are so damn loud - louder than most full bands! You should definitely check out And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead, if you like all these bands - Trail Of Dead's album is mindblowing, and they're awesome live too.

Oh yeah, i've got a Vines promo with three full songs - thevines.mu/mailers/highlyevolved/vinesmail4.htmlhttp://www.thevines.mu/mailers/highlyevolv...vinesmail4.html I'm going to get the album tomorrow.

Nah, i've not seen them live - i'm hoping to this year, or early next year, when they tour their new album which they've been recording in May.

Dazed - Hey, when you do get to see them, you'll appreciate it even more.

MoRtiCia - Yeah, the Stripes are incredible - Jack White is a genius, and very passionate. Its amazing how they are still such good friends after the divorce - weird. This year ahs been great for music, and we've still got new RH, Strokes, White Stripes albums to come yet.

What bands can you recommend to me?

sibling rivalry blows monkey balls! why do your parents like his ass more dazed? k grandaddy...how bout' GLASSEATER...self entitled cd out july 23rd...hardcore melodic rockin' sh** there...and maybe 36 CRAZYFISTS...(bitterness the star) or CHRISTIANSEN...(forensic brothers and sisters)...there are 3 bands i've heard some promo stuff on that sound pretty killer my man. they never give me much time away from the grind of work so i don't have a lot of free time 2 do much web-music-surfin' so i depend a lot on what all my swell internet buds alert me to as far as links and new music other than that which comes thru our office. WRITE WRITE WRITE ALL DAMN DAY! o well...gotta make a living eh. heh... :D I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT THE NEW WHITE STRIPES I COULD PEE PEE MY PANTIES...errr...well i don't wear any...so PEE PEE MY PANTS! :D

Ok, i got the album, and its brilliant - VERY eclectic. Even better news for you Americans - Best Buy has it on sale for $5.99. Bargain.

I'll try and check out those bands MoRtiCia - after they shut down Audiogalaxy, it makes it hard for me, too.

coolio grandaddy! B) someday soon music will be made by only the artists of this world and all the money hungry scumbags who are only looking for a lotta bling and fame will not succeed. that is what free music on the internet will bring about in my opinion anyway. the huge corporate record companies won't be able to screw the consumers in the ass by charging such outrageous prices 4 cd's that cost virtually nothing to make in comparison with what they charge...and only people that are making music cuz it's what they love will prosper, not by being larger than life and spending millions of dollars on lavish lifestyles, personal assistants, trainers, and movie-expensive videos to boost their own egos and make it even more of an 'image hollow world!' but by being human beings that make music from their own hearts and souls and that know that their true fans will always support them and buy their music!...not the damn record execs. i guess all the multi-million dollar ho's of the music biz will have to cry themselves to sleep each nite in a normal mansion with only one nice ride in the garage. awww...i know i know...makes my heart bleed! this entire music shiznit has gotten so way outta hand it ain't even funny. the salaries music stars make is ridick...and so are the salaries the exec's make! it reminds me of the insane baseball strike sh** that's going on now...some people are only interested in $$$...not the professions or sports they claim to love. if u wanna be a rock star to be filthy rich...A BIG f*** U will suffice...if you're in it cuz u love music and it's your calling u won't give a flying fart if u just make enough to have a nice normal life. WAKE UP PEOPLE! the time is coming...and i can't wait! shove the crap down the sh**hole and let all the true musical artists of the world have their chance at making music that actually means something more than BUY ME SO I CAN BE RICH AND FAM0US!
ROCK
PEACE
AND OF COURSE LOVE!
:)
