Their North American tour has wrapped up. I don't know if there's a second leg. They're currently on their world tour & was just in Malaysia for a concert.

There were reports during the early part of the year that they're gonna hold a concert here. I can't think of any reason why the concert won't push through except for security reasons.

^^BUT NOT ANYMORE!!!!

Linkin Park and P.O.D. will hit the road together in the new year. LAUNCH has learned exclusively that Hoobastank and new band Story Of The Year will also be on the bill. The four acts will team up on a massive package tour that kicks off in early January and ends in late February. The final show is said to be slated for Little Rock, Arkansas, but more details, exact dates, and venues will be announced shortly.

Meanwhile, Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington went even further, telling LAUNCH about the band's ambitious tour plans for next summer. "We're working on putting on a big summer show," Bennington said. "We do a show every year called Projekt Revolution and we're trying to take it to the next level. Hopefully, I'd like to get it up there and have it compete with Lollapalooza and Ozzfest, and bring some really great bands."

The January tour will mark Linkin Park's first full U.S. trek since the Summer Sanitarium 2003 dates with Metallica ended in August. The band will play the Smoke Out Festival in San Bernardino, California, on November 15.

P.O.D. plays in Las Vegas on December 2nd at a Spike TV event, and then in New York City on December 6.

Hoobastank is currently on the road with Andrew W.K. They play in and Johnson City, Tennessee, Saturday (November 8).

ahh dude i wanna see them!!! :D

How was the concert? I didn't go. Fort Bonifacio... open grounds... I feared for my safety!

there is a dvd in their new CD--i didn't know that--i'm gonna buy it

My copy is an enhanced cd, meaning they've included videos & footages of the making of the album & other stuff.

I found out they were recording some of the songs in NYC the whole time I was there & I didn't even know it. If I did, I'd have stalked them in their hotel. :D

Buy it. It's a great album. Right, T? ;)

Meteora?
i don't have that.. what kind of a fan am i? :stupidme:  j/k
but from the singles they've released (which are like 5/6 already), i can say it's really good.

the songs i like best are Faint and Numb. :headbanger:

and oh - about the concert.
according to the news there were 20,000 people who attended. :o
well, it was actually good but i wasn't *that* impressed.. maybe because i watch too much *NSYNC concerts.
AKA Fellas did the opening act, and their performance was awesome (before that there was a really cool fireworks display :D ).
the concert was supposed to start at 8pm, but Mariah came out at 10. <_<
and i was in the General Admission so there were no seats (i was *very* exhausted to enjoy the show).
the show lasted for about 1hr and 15mins.. she did songs from her present and past albums (only 2 from Charmbracelet).. well, she wore some short outfits and revealing clothes (what do you expect? :P ).. it seems to me she had some difficulty singing live (who doesn't?) and had to lip synch some parts. (ok i don't write good reviews  )

it was so hard to get a taxi there. :steaming:

all in all, it was worth it because it's the first concert i've ever been to and she's the only "big" celeb i've seen in person.

I have both LP albums, even Reanimation. I tell you, it's refreshing to listen to music that you can bang your head with & not hear a single bad word or hear about death & killing & all the other bad stuff.

T:
20,000 people came & you were in general admission. How far were you from the stage? How was the security? No untoward incident happened, right?

it seems to me she had some difficulty singing live (who doesn't?) and had to lip synch some parts. (ok i don't write good reviews

Was she dancing? Then Regine is a much better singer. I've been to her concert & that girl sings the high notes effortlessly.

^ there were no bad incidents thankfully. there were lots of security in the P5000 up to the P1500 area, but it seems to me they didn't care about the gen ad section.

i was quite distant, but there were 3 big screens and those really helped.

Was she dancing? Then Regine is a much better singer. I've been to her concert & that girl sings the high notes effortlessly.

^ yes, she was dancing. well, Mariah still is better than Regine for me. she has a higher range. but i think she overdid the "whistle" in her concert.. it sounded kinda faint to me. but her fans applauded just the same.

my friend, the die hard Mariah fan, said that she did very well & "hindi pa siya kumukupas". i dunno, maybe it's because i like her voice before better, when she sung "without you" and "love takes time".

and this is the "other male artists" forum.

I noticed that Mariah's voice is a little huskier now. But did you know that she didn't do concerts until 3-4 years after her first album was released? I heard it had something to do with her performing live onstage. I just don't know what the problem was.

Since this is the "other male artists" board, let's talk about Limp Bizkit. I heard that they're coming before the end of November. Are you thinking of going?
