Don't mind me butting in, but... :bootyshake:

John Colbaroating with Herbie Hancock

At the end of the "Directions in Music: Our Time" tour, Hancock said he can envision another CD release stemming from the project.

"I hope so," he said. "I like to try to record all the performances that I do, when it's possible and practical, because if something happens that seems like it could be CD material, then we have it."

In the meantime, he's also at work on a new project - a series of collaborations with artists from a variety of musical genres outside of jazz, tentatively planned for release in late summer. He's already recorded with John Mayer, Sting, Trey Anastasio, Annie Lennox and the Roots; more collaborations are planned with artists such as Peter Gabriel, Paul Simon, Alicia Keys, Yo-Yo Ma and Carlos Santana.

Right back to whales  ...

 i can't even stand references to that movie and i'll never forget the time when someone on here put up one of those emails where they say it's a new song or whatever and you're listening to this nice tune and watching the lyrics float up when suddenly...."the face of the character in the movie not to be uttered" was IN MY FACE! and i screamed so loud and was trying to exit out while i covered my eyes....it was awful :(

<span style='color:blue'>I love any guy in just jeans or a t-shirt. But lately, I've been so into the preppy polo or sweater w/ a button up under it. And I absolutely love it when a punkish dude pulls it off.</span>

Preppies and double polos!!!

I'm watching the 3 hour long Red Carpet special on E! right now and they were talking about what John was rumored to wear. They're like "he's always got something interesting on." I can't wait to see him preform! I've been super out of the John loop lately. I don't even know when the AMA's where.

 i love john....you all know i do, but what the hell was that jacket he was wearing...it even had JM stitched on the pocket...he just isn't one that needs to or should make a fashion statement...not that it was too over-the-top, but a plain jacket would've looked nicer...liked the white shirt and jeans though :P

wireimage.com/GalleryListing.asp?navtyp=SRH&logsrch=1http://www.wireimage.com/GalleryListing.as...p=SRH&logsrch=1  ok, that's not the page i put up here...you have to type in john mayer and the page will turn up

i don't know if they only gave john a certain amount of play time or what, but i didn't like the cut-up version of daughters..he started right in on the chorus and it's the "i know a girl...she puts the color inside or my world" that i love...

:yay: congrats for winning two grammy awards...i was hoping he'd win for song writer but thought alicia keys would get it...sammy and i just screamed and looked at each other when they called his name.... and here he was giving thanks all the while saying 'daughters' should never have been a single....

Mayer: I'm writing songs as they come and when I get them. I'm taking the year off to really supplement my head and heart with a whole bunch of ideas, musically and otherwise. My next record probably won't come out until about 2006. It is called Continuum.

I'm not sure about the title but John always seems to suprise in the end! But, 2006? :(

What really deserves a  is this...

John is in the Feb. 28 US Weekly on page 32, along with Jessica Simpson. Rumour has it they were getting close during the pre-Grammys...

From Star Magazine:
"Joe was practically throwing them together," says the eyewitness. Joe wants Jessica to record a duet with John, 27, best known for his single "Your Body is a Wonderland" (which he is said to have written about well-endowed then girlfriend Jennifer Love-Hewitt). "John was staring at Jessica's breasts most of the night." By the next day, the news of the possible Jessica-John pairing had made its rounds in the industry.

At the big EMI party after the awards, a gossipy Nicole Richie said that "everyone was talking about" the two. "They were practically hooking up at Clive's party," she told a source, adding, "It's basically over with her and Nick, right?"

Oh, and this is for Bubs, hope it works! :P http://jmeyecandy.com/displayimage.php?album=5&pos=103http://jmeyecandy.com/displayimage.php?album=5&pos=103

 oh lord... jessica simpson? can you imagine her trying to understand a word he said to her? there's no way... she can't even understand what nick is trying to say to her most of the time... can you imagine her confusion knowing the way john usually talks about things?

There are more stories about those two but they just make me feel. :puke:

This on the other hand has the opposite effect :lick:...

John is mentioned on page 200 of Allure:

What do you think when you see your self naked?
And John Mayer suggested, perhaps a touch facetiously, "the word 'exquisite' comes to mind."

New John Mayer Album Due In Early 2006

05/16/2005 4:00 PM, Yahoo! Music
LAUNCH Radio Networks

John Mayer plans to release a new studio album in early 2006, and he already has a name for it -- Continuum. According to RollingStone.com, Mayer plans to experiment with a new sound and even take some risks while doing it. He explained, "I'm ready to shake it all up. They are tunes that live on guitar. When it comes out, I may never win a Grammy again, I may never sell a million records again, but the world will get where I'm coming from." Mayer added, "I'm not afraid to lose it all."

If the new material is anything like Mayer's previous releases, it will be based on his personal experiences. The 27-year-old singer said that he tends to write songs about himself: "I've made the commitment to sound like my head and sound like my ideas, and voice the way I feel about stuff. And make that commitment to when I say, 'I,' it's me."

Also in the works is a touring band -- called the John Mayer Trio -- which will likely go out on the road this fall and release a live CD. Mayer says the group will play "power-rockin', electric-guitar, in-your-face blues."

Mayer recently went into the studio with Eric Clapton and Buddy Guy to record music for their upcoming albums. He will also play with Herbie Hancock's Headhunters at the Bonnaroo Festival in Manchester, Tennessee on June 10.

Mayer's upcoming album is the follow-up to 2003's Heavier Things, which featured the Grammy-winning song "Daughters."

2006? :(
