Ok, just got an email from Mraz's site saying he's bringing out another live album! :yay: Only like 3 months til it comes out and what 3 months right... haha... yeah ... but still! I'm excited because this is the closest I'll get to seeing him and it's a dvd and there's five previously unreleased songs. :yay: Also... bonus footage, including exclusive behind-the-scenes - now that's what I'm talking about! Also that reminds me I STILL haven't watched the 'morning after' on John's AGT  because I've been saving it ... for oh, about 7 months :P... however I did crack and watch the bit where he's playing with the shower.

Jason Mraz Live Album - Coming August 24th
Jason Mraz has announced details of his much-anticipated live collection, “TONIGHT, NOT AGAIN: JASON MRAZ LIVE AT THE EAGLES BALLROOM.â€￾ The special two-disc CD/DVD package sees the acclaimed singer/songwriter and his band captured in concert, performing tracks from his breakthrough Elektra debut, “WAITING FOR MY ROCKET TO COME,â€￾ along with five previously unreleased songs. The set is slated to arrive in stores on August 24th.

“TONIGHT, NOT AGAIN…â€￾ was recorded and filmed last October at Milwaukee’s Eagles Ballroom. Having earned a reputation as a charismatic and imaginative live performer, Mraz is joined on the CD/DVD by his band, the “Take It Easy Buddiesâ€￾ - Toca Rivera: percussion, background vocals; Bill Bell: lead guitar; Ian Sheridan: bass guitar, background vocals; Eric Hinojosa: keyboards, banjo; Adam King: drums - blending great songs with inventive improvisation.

The evening also saw Mraz joined onstage by a number of very special guests, including Blues Traveler’s John Popper and the world-famous Chicago Storm/Ohio Players Horns (Kenny Anderson: trumpet; JoWestly Boston: saxophone; Johnny Cotton: trombone). The setlist includes such chart-topping favorites as “The Remedy (I Won’t Worry),â€￾ “You And I Both,â€￾ and “Curbside Prophet,â€￾ along with five previously unreleased Mraz songs.

The “TONIGHT, NOT AGAIN…â€￾ DVD sees the concert captured on film by renowned director Nigel Dick, known for his work with the likes of Guns N’ Roses, R.E.M. and Oasis. In addition to the full-length concert, the DVD includes a wide array of bonus footage, including exclusive behind-the-scenes segments filmed during Mraz’s tours of the U.S., Europe, and Japan. Also featured is a never-before-heard solo acoustic rendition of Elton John’s classic “Rocket Man.â€￾

Ooh me too! there's this rumour going around that John might be opening for Maroon5 in Oct! :o but I'm trying not to get too exicted cuz it might not be true. :(

also I have a problemo, I booked my tick for M5 and my friend said she was going to too but she hasn't and it has sold out! I know my parents won't let me go on my own and I don't think I want to, the area isn't good and I just don't find gigs fun if I'm on my own...
but at the same time if John is gonna be there then it's worth but ahh just don't know to do!!! :( any thoughts?

Claire we SO need to be concert buddies. I'm still taking applications.  I don't know what to tell you...I don't want you to go into an unsafe area alone... but it's M5 and mayerbe John??? I don't know!! Maybe you could write the band or something and tell them your problem and they'll hook your friend up OR personally escort you to the show.

Woo-hoo a Mraz DVD!!! Now I'll get to fall asleep to him singing to me. ^_^ Hope John and Justin don't get jealous. <_< Oh well...they can fight.

Yes! Right, that's it I'm coming to OK and I'll be your concert buddie... what qualifications are required?

Ugh, I don't know what to do but I will not, can not, refuse to miss John, if it's confirmed there is no way I'm not going... maybe I could befriend a random of the M5 UK message board?

(Ooh just saw an HP advert!! :yay:)

Aww, Claire what a tricky situation! Are you POSITIVE it's sold out? I know it sucks paying for than face value, but maybe some scalperish site has tickets still?

I'd totally go to a concert alone. Hey, at least I wouldn't have to make up excuses to shake off the concert buddy when I'm going back to John's bus.

I think I meet those requirements. Pick me, pick me!

If I do ever get back to John's bus I don't think I'll be doing what I did it my dream, which was rushing off to buy 18 copies of No Such Thing for him to sign.

I'll look on ebay and on the UK message board, see if anyone's got a spare ticket so I won't have to go alone.

i don't blame you for not wanting to go alone, claire. it isn't as much fun by yourself. and if it's in a bad area, it's best not to be alone anyway. maybe you should try the message board thing. but then you could end up meeting some sick and deranged sex chat freak like.... well, like any one of us.

I just remembered a dream, a John dream, that I had last night!! Claire reminded me... :P

I was in this auditorium and John was playing...and I was alone, but there were other people there, but not many...maybe 20...maybe. Anyway, after the show, everyone left and I was just standing there and thought, "hey, I'll go to the stage and hang out." So I did, K2 style, and I could see the band behind this curtain packing their stuff up. So...I stood and waited to see if I saw John...then DeLa came out! Totally speechless I asked him to sign a CD. Then Scotty came out and I asked him too! Then as I saw John come out behind the curtain, approach me and reach out his hand to shake mine...the phone rang. <_< We were SO going to have sex too.

So...don't know if it's a sign for Claire to go alone or what...but I'd try the MB thing.
