I'm pretty sure that some of you are fans, so...

Tautou To Play 'Da Vinci' Role?

French film star Audrey Tautou is thrilled she's won the lead role in the upcoming film adaptation of US author Dan Brown's best-selling thriller The Da Vinci Code. The popular Amelie star, who is currently on screens in A Very Long Engagement, will play Sophie Neveu - the young French cryptologist assisting Professor Robert Langdon - played by Tom Hanks - in his investigation. The Professional actor Jean Reno will also star, playing detective Bezu Fache. Filming is due to start later this year - with a predicted cinema release of May 2006.

And I think it's safe to presume we all know what Tom Hanks looks like. Although, I wouldn't have picked him for the part. ;)

:) thanks claire....i'm glad i read this book when it first came out cuz it seems now they're giving so much of what the movie's about away and the reason i liked it so much was because i was completely clueless about the whole thing.....

Okay, don't get me wrong, who DOESN'T like Tom Hanks? But Robert Langdon? COME ON. No way. I just don't see it. I had some cute actor who gets his big break in the movie in mind. I was REEEALLY hoping they'd keep Blockbuster names out of there. ;)

Fan Here!!

Tom Hanks as Langdon...? No way. I think I would rather see an unknown play him too. I mean Tom Hanks is all great and all, but I don't see him playing Robert Langdon. Isn't he bit too old for the part anyway?

Audrey Tautou looks like Liv Tyler. Jean Reno seems creepy enough to play Bezu Fache, lol.

I've had those! And actually, they're not bad. Well, I don't remember tasting the vomit, but I remember holding it in my hand. And actually, the dirt is my favorite! :chew: But I always wanted to take a big chunk of potting soil and eat it as a kid... and I still smell it now.

actually, just because i'm painfully bored at the moment, i looked it up... it's called geophagy. you were right, nay... it is a deficiency where a person needs to eat dirt or clay. but i still think i prefer the worm theory.
