i haven't read stephanie laurens, but i've read sandra brown and am about half way thru "The Wedding" -- my mother in law gave it to me a couple of months ago. i took a break on it when "half blood prince" came out tho. :)

i'm wishing for another shopaholic book to come out!! i love sophie kinsella... have you ever read anything of hers, dee? actually, a few weeks ago when i was sitting in the doctor's office, there was a woman reading one of her books called "the undomestic goddess" (i think that's what it was called). i'm definitely going to find a copy of that.

becky bloomwood was a VERY easy character for me to get "hooked on" i guess you could say. she reminds me so much of my mother!!! seriously, the logic she comes up with to buy things she can't afford IS my MOM!!!

**example: i remember shopping with my mom when i was in jr. high and high school and she would buy something that was 50% off and would tell me.... "okay... let's think about this...this dress was originally $120 and i just bought it for $60... and since i honestly WOULD HAVE paid the full price of $120 had i NOT found it on sale, technically i can spend the extra $60 i saved today on something extra!!!"

is it any wonder that now that my parents are divorced, my dad has SO much more money than he ever did before????

oh... and i just ordered two books from amazon.com -- "the undomestic goddess" and "phenomenon" by sylvia browne (because i love her!!!). :D
