John Kerry, Another Traitor...

Wannabe Presidential nominee, John Kerry (D-Taxachusetts), sure won't want this email that was forwarded to me by our Imperial Torturer, which is more than reason enough to do so anyway:

I keep hearing Vietnam Veteran everytime this joker makes a speech. Below adds some perspective.

As Sen. John Kerry, Massachusetts Democrat, considers a bid for the White House, Americans should know a few things about him that he might prefer go unmentioned - and I don't mean his $75 haircuts.

When Mr. Kerry pontificated at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial on Veterans Day, a group of veterans turned their backs on him and walked away. They remembered Mr. Kerry as the anti-war activist who testified before Congress during the war, accusing veterans of being war criminals. The dust jacket of Mr. Kerry's pro-Hanoi book, "The New Soldier," features a photograph of his ragged band of radicals mocking the U.S. Marine Corps Memorial, which depicts the flag-raising on Iwo Jima, with an upside-down American flag.

Retired Gen. George S. Patton III charged that Mr. Kerry's actions as an anti-war activist had "given aid and comfort to the enemy," as had the actions of Ramsey Clark and Jane Fonda. Also, Mr. Kerry lied when he threw what he claimed were his war medals over the White House fence; he later admitted they weren't his. Now they are displayed on his office wall.

Long after he changed sides in congressional hearings, Mr. Kerry lobbied for renewed trade relations with Hanoi. At the same time, his cousin C. Stewart Forbes, chief executive for Colliers International, assisted in brokering a $905 million deal to develop a deep-sea port at Vung Tau, Vietnam - an odd coincidence.

As noted in the Inside Politics column of Nov. 14 (Nation), historian Douglas Brinkley is writing Mr. Kerry's biography. Hopefully, he'll include the senator's latest ignominious feat: preventing the Vietnam Human Rights Act (HR2833) from coming to a vote in the Senate, claiming human rights would deteriorate as a result. His actions sent a clear signal to Hanoi that Congress cares little about the human rights for which so many Americans fought and died.

The State Department ranked Vietnam among the 10 regimes worldwide least tolerant of religious freedom. Recently, 354 churches of the Montagnards, a Christian ethnic minority, were forcibly disbanded, and by mid-October,more than 50 Christian pastors and elders had been arrested in Dak Lak province alone. On Oct. 29, the secret police executed three Montagnards by lethal injection simply for protesting religious repression. The communists are conducting a pogrom against the Montagnards, forcing Christians to drink a mixture of goat's blood and alcohol and renounce Christianity. Thousands have been killed or imprisoned or have just "disappeared." The Montagnards lost one-half of their adult male population fighting for the United States, and without them, there might be thousands more American names on that somber black granite wall at the Vietnam memorial.

As Mr. Kerry contemplates a run for the presidency, people must remember that he has fought harder for Hanoi as an anti-war activist and a senator than he did against the Vietnamese communists while serving in the Navy in Vietnam.

MICHAEL BENGE Foreign Service officer and
former Vietnam POW (1968 to 1973)

Washington

Ladies and Gents, I give you John Kerry, traitor, liar and cowardly bastard. And here I was, thinking that I already had ENOUGH reasons to despise him.

hmm, interesting to hear bad things about a democrat huh?

John F. Kerry wants to raise taxes

Senator and Presidential wanna-be John F. Kerry wants to raise taxes. The money used from raising the taxes will be given to the poor, by deferring the first 10,000 of payroll taxes in a one year rebate. (ie: Social Security and Medicare) Social Security and Medicare benefits will not be cut, so taxes that are rebated for the first $10,000 of income will simply be deferred to those 'rich' Americans that make more than $10,000 in taxable earnings. Basically this shifts the burden of taxes to higher income people. It is commonly known as progressive taxation, one of the basic pillars of Communism.

The Boston Globe tries not to call it a tax increase, but the fact remains that F. Kerry wants to change tax law to increase the tax rates. They spin it as repealing the George F.W. Bush Tax Cut, and note that Bush's tax cut "did not apply to workers who do not earn enough to pay income taxes, roughly those making less than $30,000 per year." As if people that don't pay taxes should get a tax cut?

Reading the Globe article is difficult, as it is necessary to wade through piles of liberal bullsh** and fantasy, like their mention of the non-existent Social Security 'trust fund'. If you look hard enough, you'll find that buried in the eighth paragraph is the real deal on how the Social Security tax rebate will be paid for. The Globe notes that F. Kerry's plan would be "providing relief in the form of a rebate, which would be distributed via the federal income tax system." (That's a 'system' funded by regular people like you and me.)

THE WAVERING OF JOHN KERRY
For Fourteen Years, Three Presidents And Countless Statements, Kerry Warned Of Saddam’s WMD Threat
________________________________________________________

AS THE ELECTION APPROACHES

Kerry Claims Vice President Cheney “Misspoke Or Misled The American People.â€￾ “[Kerry] said that Cheney, who took the public lead in describing the threat from Iraq beginning in August 2002, ‘exaggerated clearly’ on several issues. ‘I know the vice president either misspoke or misled the American people,’ he said.â€￾ (Walter Pincus, “Kerry: Bush Misled Congress,â€￾ The Washington Post, 1/26/04)

BUT JUST LAST YEAR

In June 2003, Kerry Said It Would Be “Irresponsible … To Draw Conclusionsâ€￾ About WMD Evidence. ABC’S GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS: “[D]o you have a hunch on whether you think they hyped the intelligence?â€￾ KERRY: “George, again, I think it would be irresponsible of me at this point to draw conclusions prior to all the evidence being on the table.â€￾ (ABC’s “This Week,â€￾ 6/15/03)

In January 2003, Kerry Described Threat Of Saddam Hussein With WMD As Real. “[W]e need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime. We all know the litany of his offenses. He presents a particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to miscalculation. … And now he is miscalculating America’s response to his continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction. That is why the world, through the United Nations Security Council, has spoken with one voice, demanding that Iraq disclose its weapons programs and disarm. So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real, but it is not new. It has been with us since the end of the Persian Gulf War.â€￾ (Senator John Kerry, Remarks At Georgetown University, Washington, DC, 1/23/03)

IN SUPPORT OF PRESIDENT BUSH

Just Before Voting To Authorize Use Of Force, Kerry Described Iraq’s WMD As “Real And Grave Threat.â€￾ “Mr. Kerry … said Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction posed ‘a real and grave threat’ to the United States.â€￾ (Dave Boyer, “Key Senators Of Both Parties Back Bush On Iraq War,â€￾ The Washington Times, 10/10/02; H.J. Res. 114, CQ Vote #237: Passed 77-23: R 48-1; D 29-21; I 0-1, 10/11/02, Kerry Voted Yea)

Kerry Said Decision To Go To War Should Be Based On Intelligence About Iraq’s WMD. “We owe it to America’s parents and our country’s troops … to have our decision on going to war with Iraq informed by the latest threat assessment that cross-analyzes agency intelligence about Saddam Hussein’s arsenal of weapons of mass destruction.â€￾ (Faye Bowers, “Iraq’s Pursuit Of Nuclear Weapons Called ‘Unrelenting’,â€￾ [Salt Lake City] Deseret News, 9/18/02)

DURING EIGHT YEARS ON INTELLIGENCE COMMITTEE

In 2000, After Eight Years On Intelligence Committee, Kerry Cited Threat Of Iraq’s WMD. “I think all of us are deeply concerned about the degree to which certain countries seem to be contributing to the potential of instability in the world. Obviously, there is nothing more destabilizing or threatening than weapons of mass destruction. We have spent an enormous amount of time and energy focused on Iraq …â€￾ (Senator John Kerry, Congressional Record, 9/11/00)

After Four Years On Intelligence Committee, Kerry Urged U.N. To Eliminate Iraq’s “Suspected Infrastructure For Developing And Manufacturingâ€￾ WMD. “The Security Council should authorize a strong UN military response that will materially damage, if not totally destroy, as much as possible of the suspected infrastructure for developing and manufacturing weapons of mass destruction … Saddam Hussein has intentionally or inadvertently set up a test which the entire world will be watching, and if he gets away with this arrogant ploy, he will have terminated the most important multilateral effort to defuse a legitimate threat to global security.’â€￾ (“US Lawmakers Threaten Military Action Against Iraq,â€￾ Agence France Presse, 12/12/97)

IN SUPPORT OF PRESIDENT CLINTON

In 1998, Kerry Said Saddam Had Used WMD And Intended “To Do Soâ€￾ Again. “Saddam Hussein has already used these weapons and has made it clear that he has the intent to continue to try, by virtue of his duplicity and secrecy, to continue to do so. That is a threat to the stability of the Middle East. It is a threat with respect to the potential of terrorist activities on a global basis. It is a threat even to regions near but not exactly in the Middle East.â€￾ (Senator John Kerry, Press Conference, 2/23/98)

Kerry Defended Clinton’s 1998 Attacks Because Saddam “Is Pursuing … Weapons Of Mass Destruction.â€￾ “Americans need to really understand the gravity and legitimacy of what is happening with Saddam Hussein. He has been given every opportunity in the world to comply. The president does not control the schedule of UNSCOM. The president did not withdraw the UNSCOM inspectors. And the president did not, obviously, cut a deal with Saddam Hussein to do this at this moment. Saddam Hussein has not complied. Saddam Hussein is pursuing a program to build weapons of mass destruction.â€￾(Senator John Kerry, Press Conference, 12/16/98)

BEFORE FIRST GULF WAR

In 1991, Kerry Acknowledged Saddam Working Toward Development Of WMD “For Years.â€￾ “If we go to war in the next few days, it will not be because our immediate vital interests are so threatened and we have no other choice. It is not because of nuclear, chemical, biological weapons when, after all, Saddam Hussein had all those abilities or was working toward them for years ....â€￾ (Sen. John Kerry, Congressional Record, 1/12/91, p. S369)

In 1990, Kerry Said “Iraq Has Developed A Chemical Weapons Capability.â€￾ “Today, we are confronted by a regional power, Iraq, which has attacked a weaker state, Kuwait. ... The crisis is even more threatening by virtue of the fact that Iraq has developed a chemical weapons capability, and is pursuing a nuclear weapons development program. And Saddam Hussein has demonstrated a willingness to use such weapons of mass destruction in the past, whether in his war against Iran or against his own Kurdish population.â€￾ (Sen. John Kerry, Congressional Record, 10/2/90, p. S14330)
