She shops like a dude -- moving quickly and zeroing in on only what she came to buy.

that sounds just like me.
Lavigne never doubted she'd be a star. She has always believed she was destined to be a famous performer.

that bugs me a bit. i never like it when stars say "i always knew i'd be famous." it sounds arrogant and conceited.
I was born in 1984 -- why would I know who he is? My parents didn't bring me up listening to him.

well, i was born in 1981 and i know who he is, but then my parents listened to a lot of mainstream radio. i'm also a bred fan of the pretenders, blondie, and stevie ray vaughan. :P
She says that the harder-rocking songs on Let Go -- specifically "Losing Grip" and "Unwanted" -- had the sound she wanted for the whole album.

damn do i wish she'd gotten her way. those are my 2 absolute favorite songs on the album.
She also pushed for the gloomy "Losing Grip" as her next single over the bright-and-bouncy "Anything but Ordinary."
