Barnet & Potters Bar Times reports Avril Lavigne is lending her support to five-year-old Samuel Shekarchi's fight against cancer, donating a signed drum skin used in her performance at this year's Brit Awards and allowing it to be auctioned off to Barnet & Potters Bar Times readers to raise money for Samuel's treatment. Samuel's uncle, Roy Almeida, said: "He's not doing very well at the moment. They're wating for the temperature to go down so they can start the chemotherapy. We're hoping for an improvement."

Its great to see that Avril is a real human, and cares for others by donating. I think many celebrities are being nicer with donating htough everyone probably does it, but some people get more publicity through donating to charities. I think, media coverage or not EVERY one should donate. :D
