Boys are featured on a kill pop-icons game on Newgrounds.com where players
"beat their faces to a bloody pulp while they spout out annoying catch
phrases". There are dozens of other celebs to mame as well. Check it out

29, 2001 - The Star reports the MGM in Vegas was very good to the Backstreet
Boys. The hotel set up a basketball court outside for the band so they
could play hoops before their performances.
March 29, 2001 - Lou Pearlman
is interviewed in the Toronto Sun viewable on Allpop. Pearlman talked about
the allegations of double-dipping as both producer and manager and his
justification due to investing millions into the two bands. Read more.

March 25, 2001 - Drew Lachey
is commenting on comparisons to their rivals saying, "No, we're not a stadium
group. I think music fans have unreal expectations of the music business
now. Right now, we have basically three phenomena going on: Backstreet
Boys, *NSYNC, and Britney Spears. It's very rare you see this in your lifetime,
let alone see three of them at the same time that can go out and sell the
type of records that they do, and the type of tours that they can put together,

March 21, 2001 - Aaron Carter
gave his older brother props in TV Guide saying, "Without Nick, I don't
think I could have made it where I am right now." His other comment wasn't
as wise when he said, "If I had to choose between Backstreet Boys and *NSYNC,
I'd pick *NSYNC. They're awesome."
March 19, 2001 - A webcast
of the Backstreet Boys that was supposed to air March 23rd on Yahoo! has
been postponed due to some unforeseen circumstances. Read more.
March 18, 2001 - E! Online
reports the Backstreet Boys talking about the second leg of their North
American tour beginning this summer. The band will play smaller arenas
and extend the stage 10 rows deep in arenas. Read more.
March 18, 2001 - A pair of
8x10 autographed photos of Nick Carter are being auctioned on ebay. The
first with Nick's arms down, item #1417082581, is bid at $9.99 and ends
March 25th. The other with Nick pointing up, item #1417123138, is unbid
at $14.99 and the auction ends March 25th as well.
March 17, 2001 - The Backstreet
Boys were on the Tonight Show Friday performing More Than That and were
later interviewed by Jay. For a partial transcript
(the end got cut off!) check our message boards. The show included footage
from their last appearance used in a skit where Kevin Eubanks played a
lustful groupie.

reports The Backstreet Boys have announced plans for a 50-date North American
tour to kick off in June.

reports Willa Ford is talking about he relationship with Nick Carter and
touring with his bandmates saying, "I saw signs like Die Willa. It was
scary."

Boys will be Jay Leno's musical guest on Friday. Jay's other guest will
be Jennifer Love Hewitt.
March 11, 2001 - Nick Carter
performed at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas Thursday.
March 7, 2001 - The feud
between the Backstreet Boys and *NSYNC may have gotten worse as the Star
reports Lance Bass threatened to pull out of On the L if Kevin Richardson
were cast. Lance is the star and producer of the film.
March 4, 2001 - The San Francisco
Chronicle profiles the Backstreet Boys sold out concert in Oakland Thursday.

March 4, 2001 - A pencil
sketch of Nick Carter that was autographed by Nick as well is up for bids
on ebay. The sketch, item #1413962031, is bid at an astounding $197.50
and the auction ends March 12th.
March 2, 2001 - Forbes magazine's
Celebrity 100 list included *NSYNC at #8, the Backstreet Boys at #7, Britney
at #4, and Tom Cruise at #1. Rankings are determined by income, popularity
on the internet, television and in print.
March 2, 2001 - Worldpop
reports the Backstreet Boys Kevin Richardson and friends partied at Brandi's
in Vancouver a few days ago, which has waitresses who wear white lingerie
beneath see-through teddies and showgirls who appear naked. An eyewitness
called said the guys were 'cordial'.
March 2, 2001 - Worldpop
reports that fans on the Backstreet Boys current concert tour meet and
greet sessions are required to NOT ask for a kiss or hug. A fan revealed,
"We were told to form a single file line and only ask one question to each
one of the members."
March 2, 2001 - The all female
in male drag performance group The Backdoor Boys were on the Chaunce Hayden
show Thursday singing Backstreet Boys songs including I Want it That Way,

AP reports Grand Forks North Dakota got a big economic boost by the Backstreet
Boys show there February 18th, which brought 11,400 out of towners of which
4,000 stayed at hotels in the area.
