Willa Ford was on WDRQ in Detroit on Monday revealing that she's still
friends with Nick and the two talk regularly on the phone and he always
tells her how proud of her he is.
April 22, 2001 - Nick Carter
pied his younger brother Aaron in the face as he accepted the Favorite
Rising Star award at the Nickelodean Kid's Choice Awards. Later, Nick's
sister Leslie tried to return the favor but was too slow. The Backstreet
Boys performed More Than That. Unfortuantely AJ couldn't make it as his
grandmother passed away two days ago.

Nick, but the Star interviewed Stella Galvan, who claims to have had sex
with A.J. McLean and took her viriginity when she was apparently only 16.

did a special this week on The Merchants of Cool and focused on MTV and
TRL, quoting New York Times music critic Ann Powers as saying, "For the
Backstreet Boys, for *NSYNC--whose image is all tied up with whether they're
number one versus even number two, when number two is seen as a failure
for an artist--that's a lot about TRL. The whole idea that you can sell
so many millions of albums and still be considered kind of a flop, well,
that's very much of this era and I think Total Request Live has completely
intensified that." PBS will re-air the eye-opening special May 1st.

the World reports Nick Carter has been suffering from severe bouts of depression.
Nick confessed, "Whenever the Boys have time off, I just don’t know what

Post reports Willa Ford may have moved on after her long relationship with
Nick Carter after she's been spotted with British pop star Craig David.
Ford's publicist insists they're "just friends."

Stipe is taking shots at the top pop artists and includes Eminem in the
bunch telling NME, "One of the great things about being around as long
as we have is you watch stuff come and go," Stipe told NME.COM. "It's there,
it serves its purpose, it's gone. I really like the disposable pop music
that's prevalent on American pop radio: *NSYNC and Backstreet Boys and
Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera and Eminem." Asked to comment if
Em just like the other bands mentioned, he said, "Very much...It's no less
packaged."

Boys will be part of an all-star lineup paying tribute to soul queen Aretha
Franklin at a VH-1 Divas concert in New York on April 10th. Also performing
will be Janet Jackson, Mary J Blige, Kid Rock, and Jill Scott.
