Radio 1 reports Jive Records is denying talk in the Sun earlier today that
the Backstreet Boys are in crisis talks and they also denied that Nick
Carter is recording solo material.... Yeah, but didn't he reveal solo plans
himself on TRL on Monday?

Total Request Live had a clip with the Backstreet Boys at the Rock The
Vote party last night. BSB's Howie Dorough said, "Our youth is, you know,
where the future is, as musicians it is our part to help in whatever causes

Miss Truth reports today that the Backstreet Boys have reportedly left
their management company, the Firm, and are currently shopping for new
representation. Reps at the Firm, however, would not confirm the group's
departure. Earlier this week, HitsDailyDouble.com tabbed Howard Kaufman
as the frontrunner to rep the band going forward.

Boys 2002 Fan Convention will be taking place this weekend in Baltimore
on Saturday and Sunday. Fans at the BWI Marriott Hotel will travel as far
away as Holland and Belgium to attend the event, convention chairperson
Janet Connell told Launch.com. Connell said, "We're going to have a lot
of fun celebrating the Backstreet Boys. This event is by the fans, for
the fans." While none of the boys themselves are scheduled to appear, family
members including Littrell's mother, Dorough's mother and sister, and representatives

Carter was on MTV's Total Request Live on Monday to talk with Quddus. Nick
talked about what he had to do after his plea bargain following the arrest
in Tampa. Nick also talked reluctantly about his solo stuff as well as

magazine reports the Backstreet Boys have parted company with their longtime
reps, The Firm. Howard Kaufman is now the frontrunner to sign the band.
Meanwhile, Nick Carter will remain with the Firm as a solo artist, and
his debut solo album on Jive is scheduled to be released in August, likely
before the release of the next Backstreet Boys album.

John told BBC Two's Newsnight there was too much music that sounds the
same in the pop charts now. Elton said, "Record companies want the quick
buck from the Backstreet Boys, *NSYNC, Britney Spears, S Club 7's, the
Steps - they've always been around, I'm not knocking the music perhaps,
but it's like packets of cereal." Meanwhile, because of this, artists with

reports Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter has purchased a 43-foot offshore
racing boat and will enter it in the American Power Boat Association's
2002 circuit with races in the United States and Canada. Nick explained
the purchase saying, "One of the main reasons I am getting into this is
my father. It's a dream come true for him." Nick Carter Racing will make
its debut April 28 in Daytona Beach. Read more.

reports early recordings from Nick Carter will be released on March 26
by Hip-O Records. The 14 track album will document Nick's solo work from
ages 9 to 13. The album is titled 'Nick Carter: Before The 'Boys' 1989-1993'.

Beck and Stacy Jenel Smith of Teenmusic.com spoke with Aaron Carter who
revealed he and his Backstreet Boys star brother Nick will collaborate
on an upcoming album. Aaron said of that and his brother's contribution
on his per-view special 'Aaron Carter's Valentine Party', "We should be
recording together soon. It was great. My brother and I sang together on

Petersburg Times reports Backstreet Boy Nick Carter agreed to enter into
a pretrial intervention program in a deal with state prosecutors to clear
him of a misdemeanor charge of resisting or opposing a law enforcement
officer without violence. The charge stemmed from an incident at a Tampa
