Keller, who represents Backstreet Boys members Brian Littrell and Kevin
Richardson and asked if the lawsuit filed against Jive Records means an

to their lawsuit against Jive Records: "We are committed to the Backstreet
Boys, and we will protect our group from anybody or anything that tries

our old management company," he responded, contradicting earlier reports.
As for a family 'Carter Album', Nick said, "I think that is still a rumor
at this stage. I think it would be a crazy record because within my family
we have so many different influences. So for the moment, I would say that
there are no immediate plans for this “Carter Album” to happen." Read more.

two sides. And the things they aruge about, aren't even sufficent. 'Justin's

and this is a chance for him to spread his wings out there and just experiment.
It's something that we always want to allow each other within the group
to go out there and journey and grow as entertainers individually, because
as we grow as entertainers individually it will only help the group grow."

November 18, 2002 - Sean
Richardson of the Boston Phoenix weighed in on the new efforts from *NSYNC
star Justin Timberlake, Backstreet Boys star Nick Carter, BBMak, and Dream
Street. On Timberlake, Richardson said, "Given its 63-minute length, the
disc does come up a little short on hooks. And Timberlake’s songwriting
tends to be more professional than passionate. But he’s got the voice to
go with his looks, and his tastes are quite a bit more adventurous than
you might expect from a charter member of a middle-of-the-road boy band."
As for Carter, he commented the first 'Now or Never' single 'Help Me' "amounts
to a Backstreet song with one boy on the microphone instead of five." Read

writes "Aura from the Dirty Little Secrets website recently wrote to the
Backstreet Boys' manager Irving Azoff about the statement AJ made saying
BSB next album might be their last. Azoff replied to her saying, "This
is a very complex situation but I hope one with a happy ending. Bottom
line as it is Sunday and I have to go to a family function. All five of
them have now agreed to continue as Backstreet. No one has spoken about
limiting it to one album or one tour. The intention is to continue in perpetuity
if the fans support the band. Whether there will be an album or a tour
first depends on the jerks at Jive who are claiming the band should be
penalized for late delivery of the next record. Since Jive coerced Nick
into a solo album, they couldn't deliver on time. The music they have worked
on without Nick is really promising and Nick will now participate in all
of it. Until Brian's baby is a couple months old and AJ gets married not
much will go on. Look for late Spring for the recording or overseas touring
to get started. Don't be surprised if the band have to sue to leave Jive.
Hope this helps and thanks for your support.""

"Last week was TRL's 1,000th episode, and I've got to say one of the highlights
for me was MTV laying down a credit card later that night for drinks. But
during the show Nick Carter's resounding performance of 'Help Me' was the
moment I'll remember. The rock 'n roller himself, Nick Carter is back on
the show today and I can't wait to see what he'll jump on, over, or through
today. One of my favorite things about working here is seeing huge crowds
gather outside for the show and Nick Carter pulls one of the biggest. Going
to window is really a phenomenon, sometimes before the show I walk over
to the windows just to see the crowd and kids yell and point at me like
I have money to give away or something... We're doing 'The Wringer' with
Nick Carter today so Elliott and I are gonna get crackin' on juicy questions
to ask Nick now. I'm thinking, The last time you talked to Willa Ford?
Who is your favorite member of *NSYNC? What's the capital of Florida? Last
movie you cried at?" Check out the full entry more."

the rest of the band members haven't had much to say about it. "There haven't
been a lot of calls congratulating us," Leighanne said of Brian's bandmates.
A source tells the tabloid the reason behind their silence may be their
negative feelings about Leighanne. "Most of the guys didn't think she was
right for him," a source said. "They've been keeping their distance ever
since. In the end, they just don't believe this marriage is going to last."
Leighanne admitted, "Some of them had bets we wouldn't last a year."
November 7, 2002 - Backstreet
Boys star Nick Carter performed 'Help Me' off his debut solo album 'Now

performance where he was jumping up and down, shoving his face in the camera,
and kicking down his mic stand prompted Jay's other guest Dennis Miller,
who appeared to be at least intoxicated on alcohol, to join in on the fun
and knock over the table and a chair as Nick sat down. Nick was out of
breath after the performance and had a little trouble fielding the questions.

November 6, 2002 - Backstreet
Boys star Nick Carter also played DJ on Capital FM in London recently.
He too was asked about a rivalry between the Backstreet Boys and *NSYNC.
"There's not! That rivalry was created by the press and all those people
in the media," Carter insisted. "We've known each other since we were young
guys. Even now when I'm doing a solo thing and Justin's doing a solo thing
we talk with each other. Now we're both getting to do one of our dreams
at the same time. There is no rivalry and I'm glad that the two groups
are in the music business because we both get a chance to show two different
sides to music and hopefully do a good job at it too." Carter even played
Justin Timberlake's track 'Like I Love You' while behind the mic. Listen

November 6, 2002 - NSYNC
star Justin Timberlake took over DJ duties on Capital FM recently in London,
answering fan questions as well. Asked about the perceived rivalry between
Backstreet Boys star Nick Carter, Justin said, "I can't honestly say that
I have ever felt any rivalry with the Backstreet Boys or Nick Carter. I
think it's more or less the press pitting us against each other. But as
the years have gone by I think people have noticed that we do have different
styles and they don't use the comparisons so much any more. To me there
was never any rivalry." Listen to Timberlake here.
